Thread: Med components
Anyone know of a website where i can find a list of the components needed for the med and/or dots of a a combat medic.

with the components that go into the med enhancers, does it matter what resources you use? like does the quality of the ABEC affect the enhancer (just an example)?
thanks
Yes, it matters quite a bit. The most common enhancer components (ADM, AIA, ARC, ADS) have up to 300 power;if you can get over250 or so its pretty good. Those values are added linearly to the enhancer strength. So for example, for a 1200 strength enhancer, made with 3x 250 power components, 750 points ofenhancer strength comes from the components. That is more than half!
That being said the organic and inorganic used in the final assembly still has the biggest contribution to the strength of the med, so its worth while to get a small amount of really excellent stuff.

Ermm well I guess that depends on your philosophy. If you want to make mediocore stuff then I guess it doesn't matter. But if you want to make the best possible enhancers you need the best possible resources. I see a lot of pre-cu BE's on my server going for mediocore stuff... dunno I guess that BE mentalitly developed because they obviously had a hard time competing against docs and chefs pre-cu with getting quality resources. But this doesn't work with medicine. I see a lot of pre-cu BE's struggling in the med sector because of this mentality. You have to use the best of the best availableresources to make good meds.
The best resources for enhancers are very very hard to find, and are infrequent spawns. CMs used to complain about this a lot. It's not like Tat fiber or Dantooine berries, or Talus water where there is always a current spawn. The only easy spawn for the CM/enhancer compoentns is Yavin fiber. Eleton gas, tolium gas, titanium aluminum, class 1 radio and class 2 LP are all pretty rare spawns and getting top notch quality is even harder if you havent been looking for it for years. Regarding resources some are used by other professinos, and you have a shot getting (tolium by droid engineers i think and titanium aluminum by WS and jedis).
I'd say start with what you can and keep an eye out on good spawns. they are rare so get a few million units when they pop up.
