Thread: Building a pair of high damage level 35's..

Due to the size issues with level 70's, I am now working to build a duo of level 35 creatures to hunt with. I'd like to focus on damage output first and foremost, but with consideration towards building each of the two with a bit of specialization, with one sacrificing durability for damage, the other not sacrificing durability so much, and perhaps getting a little love in the psychological stats for a taunt benefit.

The thing is, while I am able to create level 70's fairly well, getting something level 35 or so is MUCH more difficult, it's a much more slippery target for me. Has anyone else been working with this level range much? If so, how have your experiences been? What sort of stats have you been able to eek out? Any tips?

Thanks - I've been using a spreadsheet based off of the numbers from that thread, and have to admit, it is getting very frustrating.. I am beginning to come to the conclusion that we can't even really produce a pair of level 35's that can compete with a pair of the female narglatch elites, much less a trio. I want to make something myself, I want that personal touch, and I do love that there are wild things worthy of tracking down and taming, as I am as much a creature handler as I am a bio-engineer, but.. meh.. all I can produce are things with more hp, but significantly less damage, or still, a fraction of the damage, but less than half the health, and still the possibility of being invalid after growing up.

Eh, I make CL48s so that I can pair it with a narglatch. Currently havea cu pa, agurrcat, and gurreck. I think I aim for5k+ health and maybe around 350 or so in max damage (damage output is close to 2 narglatches with the BE speed factor), can't remember exact number right now. Ifigure I need something high enough in damage to tank a little with decent armor and health. Now the narglatch can be used for crowd control or added damage. Even tho I think aBE CL22 can outdamage a narglatch, the health it has means being able touse it forholding multiple targets. So I do think you can have a 2 pet BE combo that acts as a better DoT and holder of aggro, but easier and cheaper to team a BE CL48 with a female narglatch. I still tend to use my CL70s tho.

Checked my book, 5500 health and 369 damage with 9% aggro is about what I aim for.

damage output comes at a VERY high price, CL-wise. check out namessiah's pet calculator, based on dorelli's preliminary weightings.

What is the BE speed factor? Most of my hunting is with my MD/MCH, so my pets, bioengineered or natural, are heavily buffed, and may be capping as far as attack speed goes, but I haven't really noticed a huge difference between wild and engineered attack speed to be honest.

All post pub 17 crafted pets attack 2x faster than wild or pre pub 17 pets. If you don't have a post pub 17 crafted BE pet, then you won't see this.I now have a request for a CL35, couldn't talk him into a CL48 since he already had another CL35, so I'll see what I get. Since I'm not going for max dmg, it should be higher than what I make if low health is acceptable.

Aaah, this is news to me. All of what I have been using HAS been post CL17 pets, but the doctor attack speed buff was probably masking some of the differences. This is good news though, I'm thinking a duo, one CL30, one CL40 or thereabouts are what I'll shoot for. Now the question is.. what do I make? *mad scientist cackle*

How big does the level 40 kimo grow as compared to the average player please? Up to knees, shoulders, over head, and so on?

Thanks,
