I was reading what new things we get, and im wondering what this Generic DNA Template is -- Can we craft DNA now? or what are these used for?

The Generic DNA Template is the only DNA Template we have now. It is used to make all the clones that we have. Now you can make all the Generic DNA Templates you can hold and create the creatures as they are ordered.

Of course the new creatures don't work yet and all the old creatures are the same as before the patch but it is the beginning of the new cloning system that was promised a while back. No information as to when they will finish implementing it. Hopefully soon.

Ok im still a bit confused - do we still /dnasampleand make the generic dna template with those samples? or is dna sampling gone?

The generic dna template replaces all of the creature templates like bol dna template ect right? and the dna samples are just made into the generic dna right?

Exactly, you still sample for dna, you just have one dna template to replace all the others now. The stats of the dna determine the results of the dna template.

Any word on when they plan on getting the system properly implemented yet? They were aiming for this to be pushed to the live servers around the 13th of this month so unless they get a move on this radically different cloning system won't even get the full 2 weeks of testing and it'll come onto the live servers when it's riddled with problems. That would almost be as bad as not having the new system at all.

Open question. In the old system a template had 5 slots for DNA. One controlled health, one action, one mind one aggression (Damage sort of?) and one nebulous. In the new system I though we would have some ability to effect things like armor, resists and special. Is this done through the new DNA template and if so how? Talthazar do you have any idea?
