Thread: A new spin on milk
May I offer up the possible proposal of a new source for milk?
Many creature species have 'female' listed as a type, or 'matriarch'. Why not offer milk as a possible harvest from their bodies, in addition to bone/hide/meat? that way, it's able to be varied from planet to planet, and only specific creatures possess it.
Look, it's either that or make the Farmer character a possibility...can you imagine the size of Kaadu eggs?

I don't like the idea of having to harvest milk from a corpse. It's bad enough that we can only harvest one type of resource per corpse. This would just make it that much worse. Think about real life for a moment here. NOONE milks a dead animal. If you go hunting you don't take the meat and leave the hide and bones behind, or take just the hide leaving the rest behind. No, a hunter typically uses every part of the animal they possibly can. Though the bones are the most commonly discarded part of the kill as there's not much use for them in today's world.
What they should do is Add a skill to milk a live creature to both BE and Chef that'd worksimilar DNA sample. Just make it so only mammals can be milked.
Why can't there just be an Automated Dairy Farm deed?
Drop in a couple cloned dewbacks, add some corn for power and let it run.
you can milk a snake too

Harvesting a snake's venon is called milking but it's not Milk. It's still a poison that's used to make the anti-toxin to cure snakebite victims.

For some reason, I'm having a flashback to "Meet the Parents."
"You can milk anything with nipples."
"I have nipples. Can you milk me?"
Oy! I need to get some sleep! ![]()
