Thread: Somthing needs to be done about tailor tissues
survey tissues do nothing. survey food and FS mods work.
maskscent/camo works... as much as maskscent and camo work (more an artifact of CL than skill).
terrain negotiation works. unarmed damage MAY work, but only TRUE unarmed (ie: NO weapon, not even a knuckler)... reports vary, but I've heard NO reports of it ever working with a weapon.
healing eff works... less now than before p21.
cure eff may work, but doesn't do anything worthwhile. aug eff was listing as a bad code string, and not working... if it HAS been fixed, it will only increase the DURATION and not the EFFICACY of the buff.
myoflex is lost for now.
melee/ranged defense have NOT been shown to work. of course, they may be working, but +25 may be too small to see any difference in incoming damage.

This is not a problem that has come about since patch 18, it was there before, the only BE clothes I sold were Healing efficency, terrain negotiation and BF healing, as they were the onlty ones that I could confirmed worked, now BF has gone I only have two things to sell. If lammergeier's quote abve is correct, which I thkn it is from my experience out of a possible 14 mods we can put on clothes 4 work 5 are broken and 5 may or may not work, so less than 30% of our clothing tissues work, and some of them are mods that dont even exist anymore!
Seriously whats teh point, this needs to be fixed ASAP, or deffinitly acknoledged by the Devs, maybe even some info on what fixes are in the pipline, or what new tissues are going to be avalible. We dont even know if the +25 mod makes a difference anymore, as lammergeier eludes to when talking abut mele/range deffence. I cant so how it can make a difference, lets take for example a master fencer/creature handler with a mele defence of about 130 and a Master defender with 600 inclucing foods, if a +25 mod was to make a significant effecton the damage the fencer taked the jedi would be invincible as he would have 18.8 times that difference of damage reduction, on the other hand if a600+ makes only a reasonable difference to the Jedi, the fencer would get hit 18.8 times harder by difference. Defence cant work liek this so there must be some background modiferes (probably based on CL) which completly over-rule deffence, therfore making a +25 bonus next to uesless. We need to know how the game works in order to see the effects.
It is time to either remove the uesless tissues from the game, I get quite anoyed when I see a +25 outfit for sale for 40K plus, when I know dam well it doesn't work! or fix them. At the very least acknoledge the fact they dont work so that people do not keep getting ripped off.

I 2nd all of the above.
BE tissue is my only source of crafting income. I make meds for personal use. No desire to get into pet crafting.
But unfortunately there are still items from Beta that are broken. I dont see a BE REVAMP happening ever so I'm not gonna hold my breathe ![]()
Maybe if we get the tailors to complain it will eventually get fixed. I've been bugging these tissues in game since CU to little or no effect. At FanFest the devs were surprised when someone said they didn't work. That was the last feedback we had (not sure if Lamm said they've acknowledged there is something wrong).
Again, the lines of communication appear to be broken as far as changes/fixes to anything BE. Had the dev who made these changes the day before CU went live come to the BE community (come on we make the tissues, tailors wouldn't have them if we didn't) perhaps this issue with broken tissues would not have dragged on for as long as it has.
Just keep submitting bug reports in game, maybe one day in a galaxy far, far away, someone will read the bug reports. I do one for each tissue. I do so love a flood if only to stress how important it is to me as a BE.
