I have been sampling and creating about one hour.

First of all, when i spamle some mountain dewies is fails 2 out of 4.

Then i sample some Giant sand beetles and also fail 2 out of 4.

Luckily i had my good friens MUON with me otherwise i had to wait hours.

Then i started making the pets. Out of ALL the DNA not one pet came up, all critical fails.

Little detail: I AM A MASTER BE!!

The reason i am posting this. This isn't the first time this has happened!!

Is this a bug? Is this meant to be?

I have the idea that both sampling and creating got a lot harder since the last patch or did I just have bad luck?

Well i am happy that it weren't 5 mutant Rancor dna samples :-)

The same thing happened to me last night. I had made about8 pets all night, and the only ones that made it though were the display ones i was making for somone. My low level armored pets, and one with mutant rancor samples all crit failed. I'm also a master BE.

Dewbacks and sandbeetles are fairly fidgety and always have been. If you don't have maskscent then you'll spook them as you approach thus lowering your chances of success. I haven't seen any reduced results from sampling when i was doing it yesturday and that was with boarwolves and resampling my own clones.

I have also been painfully aware of critical fails in half of the clones that I try to produce recently. I was wondering if it was just me or if the difficulty had increased...

If it takes you hours to regain mental energies from sampling, perhaps you should re-distribute your attribute points so that you have higher values in the three mind stats.

I am as well a Master BE and have more critical fails than anything else. 3/4 of all the DNA was destroyed in either crit failing on the DNA Template or on the pet.

was haveing the same trouble, I found a public 43 machine in a player city med center, its a world of difference from the 43 use in the lab, didnt even fail on resample dna, might search for one

I used 100 top samples to refine down for a pet ro order. All my top samples that took days to collect. I then started to craft.

Out of all this I gottwo templates I was happy with. I then hit combine for final stage for first. Crit.

I hit final for last. Crit.

I quit playing SWG for that night.

I could have sold 20 top line pets with those samples. Instead I got nothing at all. @#$%%!

If it does not plain crit, experimentation usually kills it.

Sampling.....I sit in my house sampling stage one gens. I full expect to get an average out of 50 animlas I made 0-1 sample. Rest fail and poof pet.

I AM MASTER.

It is my adamant wish that they nerf criticals. Getting real sick of this.

You need to check your Crafting Station rating.... I use a 40.XX for my assembly and out of over 100...I crit failed twice on the template and only once on final. I am not even a master yet. I was 3424 during the first 2 failures and 3434 on the final assembly. Your crafting station determines your chance of critical failures...It is well worth your investment to get the best you can find...40.XX+

I have a -12 tool and a _9 crafting station in the Thalia research centre. I use it alot and never once had a failure compared to my +14 tools and a +12 station or my crafting droid. So as far as I can tell the quality of the tools is having utterly no benefit, then again it might just be the very old tools which were made before that patch added the qualities simply don't give criticals as much as the new ones because of a bug.

I've got my stats adjusted to Mind for Sampling, But now my Action bar drains. Muon won't help that even though I use it.

I've had my share of critical failures as well, bad streaks come and go. I go nuts too, get ready to quit, but I always come back for more. To get that Uber creature - it should be difficult, otherwise we'd have a bunch of super pets left and right. Your customers should know how difficult it is to make what they are looking for.

Critical failures do suck, but it makes me feel that much better whenI finally do create whatI'm looking for. We're playing god for crying out loud - it should be difficult. If you can't hang - go be an armorsmith or weaponsmith, build that great schematic, buy all the resources, run your factory and live the boring existence.

I have a funny feeling the reason a Bio-Engineer Criticaly fail so much is becasue of another included random failure variable in the way we make things.

We have three of them for sampling, so why not add more chance of Failure for our creatures too.
