Thread: PC on BE chef tissues
Tuffy? That's wrong.Chefs can't put heavies into things that require lights/meds although they can put lights/meds into things taht require heavies!
I didn't want to answer this as I only have a basic understanding of how chef tissues work, but this is what I know and someone with more experience will post I am sure:
Chefs are picky - they like the best and like things that have '7's at the end. apparently 5's are ok ... maybe ...
The most popular BE chef tissues are all dealing with extending efficicacy or - nutrition. Therefore MNS, BSN, Intelligent Nanonutrients (I think). I belive there is some call for ones that extend the duration of the buff, or flavor as well - espiacally for drinks like ruby bliel that doesn't really have an effectiveness modification - it reduces stim times to 30 seconds no matter what you do to it.
As for prices - I have no clue and that is what you are looking for ... someone posted a pricing scheme for what they charge and we are talking over a million credits for a full run ... i THINK. I might be wrong. It does very much depend on your chef, the quality of your product, and your server tho (as you know).
I tried to sell tissues to a chef once - she said she had her own BE. I think that possibly it is becoming more and more common for chefs' to 'dabble' in BE a bit so they can produce their own medium and light tissues with only 2 trees of BE giving full experimentation and everything but the heavies. So maybe the market is for heavies to chefs w/o master BE's? I have no clue tho.

Price depends on your cost. You should check your costs, then start to think about how much proffit you want to make. Come up with a number (ish) in your mind and head over to the bazaar. Check the vendor search and see what prices other people are charging. Check the quality of their products vs yours. With luck you can come up with a price that you would like to sell for that seems to fit in with the prices from your server.
Personally, I sell the following:
Light nutrition: 25k / crate for +57s
Medium nutrition: 37.5k / crate for +88s
Heavy nutrition: 50k / crate for +118s
I think these prices are fair and fit in with what others are charging on my server (bria). I sell about 4-5 full runs a week at this price range with out doing any active advertising.
* I sell a lot of lights because most of the foods now that people use are artisan foods, not chef foods.
* I make sure my chef only ones are 8s because thats better than most chefs with a little BE can make. So maybe they will buy from me instead of making their own 6s or 7s.
I understand I am not on your server but with enough input from others, I am sure you can get a basic idea where to start with pricing. With that in mind, here is the basic rundown of how I price my chef tissues, which I convert to additives for easier selling:
Micronutrient Supplements (light):
59 - 2.1 mil
58 - 1.9 mil
57 - 1.7 mil
56 - 1.5 mil
55 - 1.3 mil
54 - 1.2 mil
Broad-Spectrum Nutrients (medium):
89 - 2.3 mil
88 - 2 mil
87 - 1.7 mil
86 - 1.5 mil
85 - 1.3mil
84 - 1.2 mil
Intelligent Nanonutrients (heavy):
119 - 2.6 mil
118 - 2.3 mil
117 - 2 mil
116 - 1.7 mil
115 - 1.5 mil
114 - 1.3 mil
Hope this and input from others will help you out. Good luck!
