Thread: Creature Handlers lost
Clearly, If I were a rifleman, pistoleer, or other combat profession; I'd know exactly what my role is. Same is true for chefs and BE's, though you could specialize in an area or another, you're still crafting.
CHs are divided between tamers, fighters, and those that still want to be pet merchants. And for an MCH, the options are even more limited. At least I, at level 37, can still use my tamed pets to get max XP against a mob or use my BE tanks for quicker money. Adds a little variation.
And as a wannaBE, I can at least grab 50 DNA samples while riding from lair to lair and pick up a few good tames, rather than just looking for rare babies going through 50 lairs with no success.
I'm kind of attached to my pets, but for me it's true for the ones I bought as well. They've gotten me through some sticky situations.
The 'domino' effect here is that as CH's decline in numbers, BE's are catering more to tissue users, so the number of BE pets out there is declining. Rinse and repeat. I still think we'd all be better off if CHs were the delivery vehicle for BE skins. It would create a good working relationship and allow CHs to have a purpose.
"Most all the veterans think their purpose is to tame creatures in the wild and get very riled when someone suggests otherwise."
Then stop suggesting otherwise.
Your job is to offer a product, not piss and moan and get snooty over what you think someone ELSES job or what you think they are SUPPOSED to do.

I'm a 4-4-3-4 CH (have been in this approximate level for some time because I was tired of grinding and broke the level 50 threshold). I've noticed I have become a collector of rares vs. the PvE/Faction mission type I used to be. BE pets are rare and unique, but store bought product is like buying a replica.
Although, I just posted a message asking for a pet I want to look at for some fighting I want to to. I'm in the process of changing my weapons skills to a PvP template and am looking for good, fairly easily replaceable, PvP pets. So, I'm changing again, go figure.
