I've found personally, using Muon Gold, goto Lok with Mask Scent, explore level 4 or better. Grab missions for Perleks or Flits. Take the time, be patient and DNA sample them. You kill them off eventually, recover your mind quickly, but still get about 200 exp each. Have some combat, incase you do get attacked. Work around and develop your game-plan. Then go in, Sample, come back, rest if needed, then re-scent if needed, always watch for that. Once you clear the initial 4 to 6 of them, pull back, fully rest, then hit the lair with 2 or 3 good shots, peace-out the battle, then wait for creatures to appear. Make sure Mask Scent is on, then go in again. Do this, you will only fire on the lair, if you don't try to push sampling to far. Meaning, if you fail, go onto another creature, then come back later, let it settle down. I can normally get around 2-3k DNA sampling per mission, plus 3k credits. I say this, because I'm working DNA sampling 2 now myself. Seems to work real well for me. I can pull out about 2-3k DNA sampling per lair, 3k credits and do it all in about 10 minutes, give or take.
There might be better ways out there, but I like working from my home planet, but seems to work for me really well. I get 4-6k per 2 missions, average of 30 minutes going to and back. Just watch out for the Perlek Ravagers, because they do Death Blow (DB). Since I'm a Carbineer too, I can take them down in 3 to 5 shots though. Hope this helps you out. Hell of a lot better then sampling around a city at 70-90 a pop now
Ditto there is information in the FAQ stickied at the top of the page
When at dna3 i moved to lok and got ALL on Gurks (8.3k missions) Not aggro, give 310-340 exp and got me to master fast
