Come publish 10 I plan on using my alt for something Ive never done before. Im leaning towards going BE. Is there anything I should be looking for resource-wise now to prepare myself. Meats, hides, bones, minerals, chems, etc ? I dont want to get caught shorthanded like I did while going armorsmith, only to discover that at master I needed berrylius copper to make composite (another shift didnt occurr for 3 months).

Meats and flora, I'd say ... don't forget wood with high OQ, it can help with materials lacking a bit there.

You'll need about 70-80k of meat and about 50k of flora. It wouldn't hurt to have a little more due to crit fails.

hmmm. I used 60k units of meat and about 150k units of flora. I just got to Master BE for the second time. I was trying the holo grind but started too late BE was on I was supposed to do, and I dropped it after, but It was cool, so I just got back to BE. Weeeeee.

Actually, what I meant is are there any specific resources I should start looking for ? For example, dx2 pistols need platinite copper. Composite armor needs Naboo fiberplast and berrylius copper. I'm not worried about the grinding part, got that covered with 100k stack of carnivore meat. I'm concerned about some planet or otherwise specific resource is needed and wont be around (or decent stats) when I start BE. Is there anything like endor wood, or nabo beans that I must have ?

if you're just worried about grinding, then stock up on as much meat and flora as you can - type and quality are irrelevant but you'll need an ungodly amount of meat. Usually you can get 1-2k stacks on the zaar for about 3cpu, that will keep you going. Also, you'll need some Inorganic to grind through the Medic component of NBE. Once you're atMBE you're just gonna need high OQ PE FL meat and flora, again generic will work, with that high OQ wood to get you started on your BSNs and INNs.

so in short just buy out all the cheap meat and flora you can find =)
