I have 2 accounts my little sister just started playing and if I quit I know she will currently she is researching other online games. Be assured that if she finds one that it will not me in any way affliated with Sony Online Entertainment or Lucas Arts. I personally believe that this will be the downfall of this game if the long time masters of professions quit then they will have their combat balance because no weapon out there will be worth the metal and chemicals it is made out of. I will take my 30.00 a month and spend it on a game that is more stable and where the developers of the game actually make enhacements that the players want instead of doing making ones that will make long time players leave in disgust.
by in creasing stack sizes of crates and larger droid storage this would help solve tons of problems and let a house have limitless storage but just have the maint. increase for different levels of items stored. Many players I have talked to are ready to pack up their SWG experience and JTL or no JTL call it quits. The giant Neft bat that the developers love to swing to me they must get a delight in making players life hell. I remember in the beginning loot runs and walking everywhere it took longer to do things but to me in some ways made the game more involved. When creature mounts came out I remember players in theed paying over a million credits for creature mounts. Then vehicles came out remember the giant pile of vehicles around the starport buring and disabled. Those and a lot of other things I will remember fondly PVP used to be a challenge but with doctor and dancer buffs and uber composite it changed from ranged to melee profesions being uber to just about any elite combat profession with combat medic holding the lead. I know others have varying opinions on this subject but those are just my observations. There are so many things in this game that still need fixing by fixing something that doesnt need it they are taking everyones mind off of the problems that actually exist. The old shell game the Neft bat is quicker than the eye. Thompson I have known for a while and agree with him if this happens then I will not play anymore a lot of good friends quit with the CH nerf that happened a long ways back and a lot of others because the game got boring to them for me this will be the straw that broke the camels back.

My thoughts are that you should punctuate and use line breaks

1) paragraphs are your friend

2) why creat a new thread when there is already a thread on this forum talking about it?

lol

Anyway, regardless of the punctuation problems with the original post I'd say the vendor cap or "nerf" as some like to call it will affect me very little.

I've never used a vendor as a storage option. SOE said long ago a vendor was not meant to be used in that regard. I've never had more than 100 items on my vendor at any time. I keep a variety of basic animals and crates of stim D's. Custom pets and tissues are sold face to face. I sell the tissues directly out of my factories. I have artisan skills and will soon have merchant. I'm not one of the many that went up the merchant trees just to drop the skill as soon as they placed their vendors. Can you say exploit? Sure you can.

The vendor changes are going to hit craftspeoplewho craft in bulkthe hardest. I'd hate to have to constantly fill a vendor every day every day every day, especially if I had vendors on multiple planets. Its also going to hit those people that own vendors but have no skills to maintain them. They will either take up merchant, sell face to face, or settle for the bazaar.

In the end, the craftpeople will adapt as they always do, or find a game that actually works

I don't really agree wit hthe idsea that vendor nerfs will grossly affect the gamne or the economy - I run 4 businesses in RL and people simply adapt to the new conditions whenever there is 'asdversity' - certainly it may make some high end users quit - but from a low level players point of view - great! there are too many high level users as is and I'd love to be able to compete on a more eveen level as I move up through the ranks - prices may jump temporarily but I laugh out loud cos the little guys like me will just clean up but underselling you to all the guys that can't or won't pay inflated prices - that btw is how I came to own 4 businesses in RL - bring on the vendor nerf!

I don't want to flame anyone but i get a little jaded by all the guys that claim every nerf in sight will ruin the game and cause everyone to stop playing - the opposite is the case, SOE are getting more players all the time and new players would mostly prefer older players went away and left them to it - I hope you stick with it cos it's an exciting time with lots of changes occuring ALL of which has enhanced my enjoyment

always knew you could get better results with a kind word and a big stick than with just a kind word

No kidding. So tired of all the nerf cries and "I'm going to quit!" posts.

exactly - I really do hope everyone of the 'I'm gonna quit" people does just that - I for one have enjoyed every update I have experienced - some have caused a rethink - but otherwise all good.

The creature handler update pollaxed your animal market whether you realize it or not. But alas, that's a different topic.

I see the merchant "nerf" to be a blessing in disguise. You'll have to have the merchant skill to own a vendor. Merchant will mean something again.
