Thread: I'm looking for challenges

I'm considering dropping BE soon but before I go, I want some pet making challenges. I don't want really impossible ones like "CL5 with Armour" (because I've tried ) or "CL 15 Rancor" because you know its just impossible. I want challenging ones like the one I'm currently working on:60% Kinetic, 60% Energy, Light Armour, Vuln Rest. I'm not going to post recipes because the whole point of BE is finding out these things for yourselves, however I will list all the animals that I have used if you want some clues.

So come on! Hit me with your worst.

Okie, how about this one? Light armor and 50% or better resists on everything (except lightsaber of course). Intimidation and stun with a ranged attack.

Any CL is acceptable, but bonus points for getting it to CL 35.

I moved to Corellia I have no vendor and I don't know the coords to my house, but it doesn't really matter cause all my pets are in the tool box, I may have some in space, but that doesn't really concern you either.

I have a couple that I'm still keen to work on. Like 600+ damage on a CL 35. And I'm still trying to get my armor, 60% kinetic >50% energy in a CL 35 or under package

If we were to have another BE challenge, I might propose one like:

"make a 'griefer special' CL 35 or under creature, must have ranged attack and strong poison/strong disease specials, highest dps (damage x "to-hit" / speed) wins the challenge".

P.S. sorry to see you go Zadokk

I'll get started on those challenges ASAP. This 60% kin / 60% nrg / vuln rest / ar1 is actually taking a lot longer than expected - problems are including critical failures at REALLY bad points, prowling gurreck low fortitute (no comment) and resistances poking through vulnerabilities as little as 1 - 3%.Ah well, I stopped after 6 hours after I criticalled on a piece of something that took a combination of an hour's work and a mutant rancor sampling session to get to...

Is i not just lovely to get those critical failures when using Mutant RaaaR DNA or Frenzied Graul DNA....I mean...I feel sooo happy after having spent hours of work getting those darn DNA and then get that nice "The experiment was a critical failure" message

Even more exciting when it´s at the final stage after having got great/amazing sucess on second/third gen experimentation and you think "FINALLY" ...and then ....

Thus atm I´ve stopped trying to get into new challanges....to many failures, so little time....but I wish you the best Zad in you experimentation!

Right I criticalled AGAIN at another crucial point so that was the final straw and I've decided that I'm going to drop BE. Sorry I didnt get a chance to complete your challenges guys, but if you ever need some challenges then I'm sure you can give my one a try

Sorry to see you go, Zadokk.

I had a critical on the template assembly of a really awesome pet over the weekend. Why can't we ever fail on the junk pets?

hehe, the funny thing about that is that often the *best* thing that can happen to you when you're making a "junk pet" is a critical fail during experimentation. As soon as I get one of those I stop experimenting because I know that pet is going to be "special". Like 10cl lower than it should be, lol.

I don't fail when experimenting. I fail on assembly.

Next time I'm just going to sample an angler rather than try to make an intim/stun pet then use it in my final pet. I had sooooo much trouble getting those two together. I literally went through twelve pets trying to get them to merge with the DNA I had on hand. One pet I succeeded and my first sample failed and killed it. Another (the template assembly was beautiful, too) got the critical fail.

I did finally get what I wanted, although the action is rather low for my tastes.
