Thread: Sample's level, and Final pet's level

Does the DNA Donor's level seem to be the biggest factor in determining the final creations level? I understand that Damage, Armor, resists and the such all play a factor as well, but is the CL of the samples the most important? Reason I ask is because I just used levels 50-50-40-40-50, and the final pet came out as CL 39. Im trying to get about CL 35 in a first gen pet. Now, if I dropped the 40's out and did a 50-50-25-25-50, and experimented the same way as the first one, would the final CL drop?

I guess I just wish there was someway we could predict what the final CL will be. Would save me alot of time and DNA if I could heh. Does anyone have any sort of reliable method to predict it? Or is it still all a mystery?

Imo, no. The final level is dependant on other things such as the amount of vulnerabilities (more vulns, lower level), the damage the pet does (lower damage, lower level), if the HAM is staggered then it will lower the leveland also if the pet has armour then it will slap an extra 10 level on (or at least thats what my research has shown).

Well, I dropped out the 40s for the 25s. Same experimentation as the first one and still got a pet in the CL 39 range. So I then dropped all of the samples to HQ except the Aggression slot, which stayed VHQ for its specials, and only spent 6 Exp points. This got me a pet between 33-36. Out of about 5-6 attempts. So I guess donor level doesnt really mean squat hehe. I had to spend less exp points, but I think it turned out ok. Made 4 pets for myself out of all that. Two teams of twins. Im pretty happy

I do wish I could of got the damage a bit higher though and maintain the 33-36ish level. This is how they turned out if anyone was curious. I think they are pretty good for my first attempt at twins. Now, if I could just get my big boy single recipe to shape up.

11k/9k/8k

Armor

60 Kinetic

2 other resists had 15ish (cant remember which)

Rest, Vuln

2.16 Attack Speed

.36 to Hit

420-430 dmg

My 2 chosen Specials and No Range.
