I'm not sure if it should go here or in General or in the CH forums...
My question is this. If I have a pre-CU pet deed (lvl 8 (or is it 10) pet w/ 8k+ statsand specials) and I place it in my datapad, will it still have the same stats as what's stated on the deed? I've heard mixed messages about it being "converted" and "nerfed". I'm afraid to put it in my datapad because I don't want to have a pet that I can't control (I'm not a CH) or one that gets nerfed to the point where it dies within one or two hits.
Does anyone know what will happen?

The first time you call the creature (which will happenautomaticallywhen you add it to your datapad) you'll be given 2 choices -
1. Reduce the stats to match the given level,
2. Increase the level to match the stats.
If you still want to be able to call the creature, choose #2, though you probably won't be happy with the resulting stats.
I had a pre-CU critter that was listed as CL41 with decent HAM, decent resists and AR1. When I tried to tame it post-CU, I gambled andchose #1, and it wound up being a CL209.

It's all a little whacked at the moment. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Just for clarity, I think you got the numbers backwards in your later discussion. You mean he should
reduce the stats, rather than change the DL of the pet I think.
Does anyone think that the new patch will make the conversion different too? I have one preCU BE rancor left, and am waiting to convert it, in hopes that the stats might come out a little better when I convert it. For now I play with my lower stat rancor that I got in three tries the other night (he's almost fully grown now)

Gah! You're absolutely right. Hopefully my mistake didn't cause anyone tochoose the wrong option.
I blame lack of caffeine
Thanks for the catch!
