My first REAL experiment:
The template:
Hard = 496
Fort = 2
Dex = 2
End = 2
Int = 72
Clev = 12
Depend = 11
Cour = 4
Fierce = 132
Power = 636
Result:
Lvl 49
Health 3335
Regen = 1
Armor = 12
to-Hit = 7
Defense = 7
State res = 14.2
Crit Hit = 1
Aggro Bonus = .1
Damg = 115-445
I was going for a duo recipe that specialized in dmg. With the low to-Hit, this guy is likely to always hit for min damage.....I think this is very close to the low threshold of a Health/damage pet....and the results arent that great. /shrug

What DNA did you use and how did you use your experiment points?

CL 49? Armor of 12? Power was high but those other values are wicked low. /boggle

How about this one:
The template:
Hard = 1149
Fort = 2
Dex = 2
End = 2
Int = 9
Clev = 2
Depend = 28
Cour = 8
Fierce = 106
Power = 381
Result:
Lvl 39
Health 7658
Regen = 1
Armor = 12
to-Hit = 5
Defense = 5
State res = 19.2
Crit Hit = .8
Aggro Bonus = .2
Damg = 63-288
Seems there are some direct correlations between template stats and creature stats.
I will be posting my findings and how I made these....but I want to finish testing a few things. Probably later tonight...if not, tomorrow for sure.

Try upping the damage a bit and don't experiment so hard on the health. I'd be interested to see if the CL comes down or goes up with a lower health higher damage animal.
There are definitely some workable animals finally coming out. I'm actually looking forward to playing around with pet crafting this weekend. This is a good feeling that has been long in coming. ![]()

Final test for today. Forgot to write down the exact template but I know it had 1149 Hardiness and Power.
Result:
Lvl 119
Health 7658
Regen = 2
Armor = 12
to-Hit = 5
Defense = 12
State res = 36.7
Crit Hit = .55
Aggro Bonus = .42
Damg = 221-763
What I have learned....
The maxmimum health on any pet is 7658. This results from a template with 1149 Hardiness.
The max damage is 221-763. This results from a tempate with 1149 Power.
I nearly tripled the damage and that nearly tripled the pets level.
Now, how did I get these high numbers? Pre-CU pet deeds. Sample a deed with more than 9000 health and you get 1000 hardiness. 5x1000 Hardiness samples in the template. On combine that increases the value about 14.99%....for a total hardiness of 1149. DO NOT expiment this value. experimentartion will drop the value to 1000.
The same applies to power. I would expect the other stats to comply as well.
final thought, these are definately usable pets.....but, they still arent much better than a 7700 Health, level 22 female narglatch.
BTW, if you dont have the deeds...my narglatch hunter DNA is 1000 Hardiness.
EDIT: my assumpotions are wrong. 1149 must not be the highest hardiness...since someone made a 8900+ health pet.
