Thread: How are we supposed to sample now?
If the sample goes bad and I get aggro, I don't even have a chance to flee before I'm flat on my back. How are we supposed to sample from anything now? Pre-cu, I was at least able to take a couple of hits while fleeing on my swoop, even from a mutant rancor. If I was careful and alert, I would seldom die. How does any one else deal with this?

Same as you, we die.
Only way is to group or die. Sucks, but thats how it is.
Try to group with a high level person or if you're imperial with an ATST, and just don't forget to Walk to the creature, I was able to Sample lvl 65 (didn't try higher) by just walking slowly to where they were (I'm lvl 18).
The most important thing if you don't want to group could be the walking part then.
Try finding a MCH M(something combatty). Creature handlers run into the same problems when they go off on a search and tame expedition. If they group with uber combat types the baby wild animals typically get blammed in process. It is just as boring for an uber combatant to watch you try to sample DNA as it is to watch a creature handler walk around in a circle saying "don't bite me" and "good, er...boy?" for a half hour.
At least the MCH can sympathize. Besides, the MCH might be a potential customer and actually WANT to go with you. ![]()
Basically it’s unacceptable.
Obviously none of them plays a BE (too
busy trying to get people to respec to
a combat profession no doubt, about the
only thing that isn't broken (to a game
breaking degree))
Now my Pre BE revamp pets ARE NOT call
able and all my post revamp pets have a
TOKEN armour value.
Now the main point is that THE LEVEL
MULTIPLIER APPLIES TO PETS NOW !!!!!
My Gimped Cl15 can now easily take out
a Cl 30 when grouped (CL44), so pet stats
make NO DIFFERENCE WHAT SO EVER .....
WHEN WILL THEY LEARN .....
Still cancelled ...

Notice the nice out-of-order execution of those statements. Was trying to sample some perleks and they just popped up.
