Thread: missing the point of BE pets.

my alt is a MCH and it's become painfully clear that the only useful pet for tanking is a lv 70, and even that sucks if your CL is 80 and you're taking missions.health doesn't matter much at all. my pre-CU lv51 which had 11k health, was pretty much useless when it comes to fighting anything higher than it's level.


last night i got some dath DNA and made a few high level pets(66-70), and their health was no higher than a wild lv70. most of them had lower health.i haven't tested any of them out with my CH yet, but i'm guessing the regen rate isn't going to be any faster than a wild lv70. the wild ones have areally high regen rate already. damage doesn't seem that much better than a wild lv70 either. if they can get specials back that might help i guess.


so basically the only appeal of a BE'd pet seems to be that you can get a pet skin with high level that would be a really low level in the wild.


if i'm missing something here, i'd love to hear about it, because right now i'm feeling pretty lamed out by pet crafting.

also, i'm just completely disappointed with how oversimplified pet crafting has become. the fun and challenge of it is gone.

What about grouping with your pets?

well unless they changed it in the last few days, the grouping rule doesn't apply to pets. it was only the first few days after the CU that they would become your combat level. then they changed that for some reason.

Really? That's pretty hurting for CH's if so. What would be the point of the group command at all then?

Last night I tested my CL13 female narglatch(not full grown) against a CL 13 kaadu.

Ungrouped:
137 damage taken
hit for 160 (192 was max at the time)

Grouped with me (CL70):
137 damage taken
hit for 192(the max dmg within its range)

If you get a chance take a look at the good pets are back post by me , covered like 3 pet creations that are good you might say but still getting the feel of the new pub17 . There is another bioe besides me that will be adding in some input from pet creation . You might see some good stuff there .
