Thread: Armor Defence To Hit do not stick on non CH Pets

I crafted 2 pets that I had put lots of points into mental to raise the to hit value (and therefore the damage). Here is what they looked like on the deed:

level 10 vir vur level 9 vir vur

health: 22522005

health regen: 1714

armor: 114 186

to hit: 107 49

defence: 46 34

state resist: 21.8% 25.4%

critical hit: 0.64% 1.27%

critical save: 0.67% 0.16%

aggro bonus: 0.8% 1.42%

damage: 22-153 25-165

When I tamed them, they were ok in the datapad until I called them and possibly stored them again. Then their values changed to this:

level 10 vir vur level 9 vir vur

health: 22522005

health regen: 1714

armor: 0 0

to hit: 38 37

defence: 38 37

state resist: 21.8% 25.4%

critical hit: 0.64% 1.27%

critical save: 0.67% 0.16%

aggro bonus: 0.8% 1.42%

damage: 22-153 25-165

I happened to have had a L10 converted VD-5K HAMmount in my datapad. This also had the same stats:

armor: 0

to hit: 38

defence: 38

Clearly what we are seeing is that the non-CH pets are silently being reassigned the default values for these stats when they are being called. I suppose this makes sense as the armor and defence values would have been a way to get free 'effective health' without raising the level and the to hit value adds to the damage done by the animal so same again.

QUESTIONS:

  • is this working as intended (I assume yes but submit that to our noble correspondant anyway).

  • is the same sort of thing happening in NON-CH pets as well.

The same thing with to hit/defense happened to my CL65 which jumped the 2 stats to 157 each. Armor did not change here as I'm guessing 4218 armor is better than a wild CL65.

Oooh, armor does make a change too:

Created: CL53 8182 health 282 armor 63 to hit 111 defense 78-334 damage

Called/stored:3217 armor 123 to hit 123 defense (yup, those 3stats changed)

My new favorite pet if that's for real.

This kinda explains the pet conversion too since they have armor 0 stats (unless it had light armor). So that's howone of my11k HAM petssurvivedwith the damagelow enough. So it seems those CL10 10K pets probably turned out to be decent (except the damage part, but if for crowd control that's ok).
