Hi guys... I've checked the CH forums and our own. Went through the FAQs and searched all the discussions, and asked in game. So I believe I'm allowed to ask this question without being called a fool.. so I hope.. lol..
What is our target BE pet level... Essentially, what is the max level pet a master CH can call? I've created a level 142 pet, but when I calculate the pet level mods in the profession window it adds up to level 83.. I believe that is what it was, I'm at work right now so I'm not sure.
I also looked at other BE vendors and discussions, these tend to imply level 75 is the max level.
Is this level 142 pet useless?

Yes.
75 is the highest modification you can indeed get.
This will make a nice house decoration and will probably still sell for a lot of money but yes, it's essentially useless.

Lvl 70 in total, meaning you can have 1 lvl 70/2 lvl 35/3 lvl 23.
Anything above lvl 70 cannot be tamed, meaning you cant use the pet other than taking up space in your inventory or having it as decoration in a house.

Aww... Well thanks so much for the quick and clear responses guys.
I guess I'll make this this baby a house decoration or something. I must admit I am wondering why we can create such high levels, but the question I set out to get answered has indeed been answered so I'll leave it at that.
Thanks again
