Thread: Amping your pets damage while keeping your target pet level
- This actually works for anyone in the game, not just creatures.
- When you attack a target, your accuracy is measured against a targets Defense.
- If you have more accuracy then the target has defense, you gain a bonus to your damage output.
- If the target has more defense then you have accuracy, you will have a penalty to your damage. This is why targets using center of being suffer less damage then without it.
How it applies to pets-
- It works the same way! If your pet has more Accuracy (determined by your pets cleverness) than your target, your pet will not only hit that target more often, they'll also hit harder!
- You can usually max out the mental stats during experimentation and barely raise your pet level by 1 or 2 levels!
- Your mental stats also add to your pets defense rating by a small margine.
So, instead of focusing and crying about aggression, you might try stacking up that Cleverness! You'll find your pets hitting harder, more often!
I thought of this too Quantum but can you confirm that it actually works when you have tamed the pet deed? I had the impression that the accuracy or 'to hit' value was one of the ones that was getting auto-reset by the system for the level on about the second time you call the pet? I could very well be wrong tho - hence needing you to confirm ![]()
Sorry, I didn't mean to stomp on you b/c I think it's a great idea if it does work !!!

(Additionally I have heard some mention of it possibly invoking the invalid pet check here and on the CH board, but since I rarely use BE pets, I cannot confirm.)

Tried this, you're right. I've noticed that it seems to bring the highest of the accuracy and defense stats and lowers it to the lowest of the 2. So you might make a pet with 159 accuracy and 195 defense and the second time you pull it out you get 159 and 159. GRRR!
A few of us have been doing some tests to see if this can be avoided if you let the pet get to adult size... we'll let you know how that turns out... ![]()
