And head to toe is probably overkill since +25 is the most you'll get from any one mod even if it says more on your stats sheet thingy ..

why not? Taming, Mask Scent, Melee/Ranged Def, Terrain Negotiation. All this is helpful if youre CH

GOOD POINT. I forgot about them other tissues. Thought you were just trying to get above +25 on taming. But shoes don't take BE stuff.

I am still not sure how that works. I have made melee/ Ranged def suits +64 and ctrl and C show your def numbers. They go up 64 points each. 64 points make a huge difference to a low cl char and it did when I used them. I haven't taken +25 suits, +64 suits and actually sat down and did the damage math. I will when I get time.

I assume if these work, they all work.

It is widely accepted that there is a cap on the mod given by clothing of +25. The number has always shown more than +25 if you have more than +25 on you. But it is widely accepted that the practical seen cap is +25. I am quoting what others have said.

It would, in view of what you just posted, be well worth a thorough test of all BE clothing to see how this mod is affected for all levels of players taking all kinds of damage and/or engaged in all kinds of activities. This could be done and probably should be done.

However, I think a better test would be to see how the +25 stands up vs. the +64 vs. nothing at all against incoming damage over time as reported in the combat log? That would probably be the best test to give us a definative answer on if the number reported is capped or not capped.

I *think* someone else has done this somewhere on the forums but I'm not entirely sure. I will do a search later and see if i can find what others have reported and give a link.

Dor (open to all ideas)

It has 100% been confirmed by a dev at fanfest to arthurdent i think, he stated that there is a physical cap of +25 in any stat taken from clothing and the fact that it shows higher in the ctrl+c is a UI bug that they are looking into and will be fixed soon.

No and I get frustrated with that. Shoes with soles should have a terrain neg enhancement. That's a gimme. They could have ent bonuses too. Dancing shoes anyone? All components for Tailor should be open to enhancements. I guess they don't have Air Jordans in galaxies far far away
