I'm at work and can't run thru all these threads and the search isn't working, so with the disclaimer out of the way:

What CL does a pet need to be before it can be trained as a mount? I have heard 3 and also 5. Also, the only time I have been able to see what level a critter I make is when I tame them. Since I am not a CH, I can only tame 2 kaadus at a time. Is there a way to see what the CL level is of a critter, or do they all start at 0-1 when I sell them?

A creature has to be 60% grown in order to be trained as a mount. So a cl10 creature would have to be cl6. As for seeing the cl it has to be tamed. Creatures in deed format don't grow and are not counted as a creature.

I got my kaadu trained at lv3, took between 2 to 3 days of casual play to grow. Not sure about the 60% quote mine was just above 50, I have another around 25% grown that looks like it could be trained.
