Thread: Your BE Pet Prices

Hello

I am looking for an idea of what to sell my BE pets for. I know that this will vary by server, but I'm kind of looking for a good rule of thumb and to see suggestions from other BEs. I have checked the bazaar and there just isn't that much to compare to. So... if you could please let me know what you sell

NonCH CL 10s

CL 35s

CL70s

for, I'd appreciate it. If I know those milestones, I can figure prices in between. Any pricing schemes you use or have I'd love to hear about.

Thank you.

/bump because it's been read 52 times and no replies! I, too, am interested in what other BEs price their pets at!

Currently I price them according to their CL (for example, CL22 sells for 22k) except for CL35s which I sell for a bit more because of their popularity with MCHs who want two out at a time, and my CL60-69s sell for 100k. I sell my CL70s at 250k and really am not having that hard a time selling them. They're usually gone within a couple days and then I restock.

I sell decor pets or "miniatures" for 5k and CL10s/Non-CH for 10k.

How are my prices? Too high? Too low? There isn't THAT much to compare to, so I'm curious as to what others sell their pets for.

Anyone else that can contribute to this would be greatly appreciated!

5k/level. Except CL 10 pets, which are 10k-20k (depending on how generousI feel, lol)so I can fit them in the Mos Eisley bazaar for new players.

So you would sell a level 20 pet for 100k? Just making sure that I am on the same page with what you mean by 5k/level

Thanks for the input so far, would love to hear more prices!

Well I dont real sell pets ifI have time and DNA i make them and give them to CH's and non CH's alike that show good RP skills and are kind to others in need. I never played BE to make money I played to have fun. I enjoy making pets and taming them. Its great fun to give a dancer an nice pet as a thank you for a mind buff along with a little tip, or maybe help a struggling CH along with a nice BE pet they can use. If someone offers me money or asks how much I tell them "Ah whatever". I get more form thier happieness and the good will it spreads! Frankly the economies are in such disorder on most servers people either have way to much money or never have any. I do enought missions to keep my house afloat andbuy the few things I need other than that I barter. Anything I have after that ends up as gifts to those that help others

Kalin Kitharian
MBE + random other classes as I see fit thru the months.
If your on eclipse and need a hand or just a new pet to keep you company just ask, I'm more than happy to help where I can.

I gave up. I give everything away, and accept donations.

Kalin I wish there were more people out there like you - you are too kind!

Unfortunately, to survive and make any money I can't afford to always give the pets away. I make special pets for friends and guild mates and other creature handlers I meet from the forumsfor free most of the time, but I need to be able to make SOME money, which is why I was asking. As a master creature handlerfor my other profession, I can't always make tons of money with my level 56 missions. I make some, but I don't get the awesome loot that higher levels tend to find. I also cannot bear to drop CH for another profession because it is what I want to do to have fun. I love bio engineer because it is such a unique crafting profession, and it is my main way of making money; by setting up stores across the galaxy and putting my heart and soul into each and every pet that I make. I spend a lot of time in game making that perfect pet formula and dying like crazy sometimes when I get aggro from my specimen. I need to be able to afford new armor every now and then, vehicle repairs, maintenance, etc. So my big main source of income is from my pet sales. I just want to see what other bio engineers that mainly sell bio pets sell for so that I can make sure I am looking at the price scheme in the same light. As I said before, I know the economy varies per server, but I was hoping to get a lot of input to at least point me in the right direction for my server since the bazaar vendor search doesn't have many pets to choose from to use asan example.

Thanks for all the input so far- anyone else have some suggestions or have a different pricing scheme?

I would recommend NOT using armor. CL is king... if your CL is low, you die. armor might give you ONE more hit before you're dirt-napping, but it costs creds. better to save the money and just take the hit.

if you DO use armor... use it for the missions, and leave it at home for everything else.

as a BioE, your CL is going to be low. it isn't fun, but it is the hand we've been dealt.

edit: and save some more cash by using a mount instead of a speeder. it's slower, but it doesn't eat money.

I haven't been making pets very long and don't have a vendor set up yet so I've been sticking to the bazaar. I've made many level 10ish pets and pretty much just followed the 1k per level rule. (Level 10s I put up on the Theed and Mos Esiley bazaars).

Those things sell like crazy though, there may just be a lack of low level creatures on Eclipse right now, I dunno. Anyways, I've bumped my price up to 20k to keep up and they're still selling. If I'm not happy with the way a creature turned out, I'll lower the price to maybe 15k or 10k again. You might try that though, just making a set of low level creatures and seeing how they sell on the bazaar, adjust price accordingly.

I sell mine at 2k per lvl up to lvl 70 which goes for a flat 150k unless I get a rush order then will vary depending on how I feel and what I have in stock dna wise. also if needed I toss in full training (not xp grinding) of all commands

so far I havent had anyone ask me to fully grind out and train pet to full size and judging by what others charge Im told I am cheap which is a good thing I guess

Yeah, the main reason I charge so little is that I have no vendor, and I'm new. When I feel like I'm making good quality pets, and can sell them in mass for more than 20k. then I'll charge more.
