I recently found out how to get the DNA for these creatures. It's quite obvious, but for those, like me, who didn't know about it, here it is:

Step 1: Get in a reasonably-sized solo group (enough to get lvl 99 missions).

Step 2: Go to endor and look on the mission terms for missions witha payout of about 7500-7900 credits.

Step 3: Keep refreshing andlooking at missions in the specified payout range until'aflock of deranged mantigrue'missionshows up. This takes a LONG time, but it does pop up. It's definately worth it. Get two at a time, of course.

Step 4: Go to the mission and take out the lair until it's dead enough that the lair boss spawns. It has spawned every time I ran one of these missions in this way, and I was able to make about 100 samples just by doing this.

I'd suggest bringing along a brawler buddy if you don't have sufficient combat skills of your own. You'll have to kill many a daranged mantigrue to get to the prize.

How this helps

With only a t21 armed (and only 3xx1 rifles) I can pull deranged mantigrue missions around the 7400 mark, no need for a solo group.

I can confirm that "a Flock of Deranged Mantigrue" missions spawn Insane Mantigrue Beserker like D'ark said. D'ark told me about this in game and I tried it. Thanks D'ark!

I grouped my TKM/MCH alt and my BE/CH with 3 pets (about level 120 total). I pulled level 77 missions at 7500-7900 creds with a title of "a Flock of Deranged Mantigrue". Got 4 of those and all of them spawned Insane Mantigrue Berserker at the end. Those have 3 spawns of Deranged Mantigrues in 3 waves.

After successfully sampled 14 DNAs off of those 4 IMBs, I tried to find a mission with my TKM/MCH alt alone. I found a level 47 mission at 7500-7900 creds with a title of "a Flock of Deranged Mantigrue". Now, I did not actually go out and do this mission so I am not 100% sure this one spawns IMB, but I think as long as the title is "a Flock", it spawns IMB.

Again, I appreciate D'ark sharing this info with us.

Small update. I took two level 40 missions/7500-7900 payout/"a Flock of Deranged Mantigrue" missions by my TKM/MCH alt alone. (No pets grouped) And confirmed that both of these missions spawn IMBs. These spawn just 1 Deranged Mantigrues in 3 waves and IMB at the end. Much easier to do.

How many spawn before the boss does? Is it 5 waves of 5?

SWG Beta Tester.. tired of still testing

In real life, people who dress up in tight plastic/leather outfits are considered tacky; In Star Wars, they're called "Storm Troopers"

I think that everybody can pull them solo on Endor unless they changed the system recently. Very hard to find those missions though, takes a lot of refreshing, but they are there!

I have tested this and I have found that being part of a solo group will NOT work. You need to be able LOW level missions at around level 40. Solo groups start at around 70. I spent 20 mins in a solo group looking for these then I quit and, with pistols 0021, I managed to pull 2 in about 3 minutes.

Does it matter which outpost you start from? I've often wondered if you can get the same set of missions from every mission terminal on a planet or if you have to be near some sort of "hot spot" for a terminal to pick them up. I tried to find this mission type at the southern outpost (research) on Endor and had no luck after a good 20 minutes of searching. I was grouped with my alt CH (2424) and master pistoleer/BH(0040) and the CH had a level 36 pet grouped up too.

Or was my 20 minutes not long enough to find this rare mission?
