not shafted, blessed. What would you want more BE exp points for, anyway? You hardly ever spend all you have at MBE, if you're doing things right

I agree. There is no need for EXP tapes in any tissues, and the only place it would make a difference is in pet making, and even then it is pretty easy to push a pet over the intended CL with 1 exp in the wrong box...

We could only use them for stim making tbh, even then the few extra charges wouldn't be a worthwhile investment. Or of course we could use them to attempt to correct a critical fail in experimentation. We've had this debate many a times and the general consensus is that we'd like assembly bonus tapes (which pet making BE wouldn't?
) but not experimentation.

What is an assembly bonus tape? Does it increase the change of great success?
My last multigenerational pet, a few days ago,was a critical failure in the very last combine. I quit making pets for a while after that until I calmed down. I was out of the DNA I needed, anyway.
If I read the patch notes correctly, that will never happen again. LOL, I was killed on the last day of the old Imperial Crackdown, too, after being made overt and having trouble reaching a recruiter to start my one-hour timer. Patience I must learn.

Lucky it only takes 5 minutes to go on leave now.

I want tapes for DNA sampling, for one. Next, I wouldn't mind the ability to be a +12 point BioEng , I have empty boxes in pet making all of the time

Empty boxes yes, but if you could fill them would it push the pet level up higher than you want?
The only time I can see wanting another 2 experiment points is when making a CL60+ pet. Even then the only reason I can see to have the extra points is for specials. I have few recipes that use all 10 points, with most pets taking between 5 and 6 points to make. If we did have tapes I wouldn't be spending 5mil+ per point for them that's for sure. Unfortunately, the looters would set the value not having any clue of their usefulness.

I don't know how many BE's are on your server, buton mine there aren't enough to drive the demand that high, they'd be in the bargain bin at the end of the first month.
And yes I am primarily talking about level 60+ pets as that represents the most vocal / wealthiest members of my customer base.

Improves assembly role and decreases chance of critically failing during assembly. Although with the removal of critical failures, these have become less desirable.
And I agree that sampling tapes would be a great addition to the game, however I dont think that they should increase the CL cap for the user (although that should be raised anyway), but it should increase the chance of getting a sample out of a creature without it agroing or dying.

I may be wrong but I cannot find anything talking about BE CA's similar to what the other crafters have. I am wondering why BE's don't have experimentation and assembly tapes to help BE's while crafting. Am I wrong, are there ca's for BE's?

heh, I hadn't dropped by in the last few days and haven't tossed in my 2 credits worth in longer than that, soooo....
we should have ALL skill tapes that other crafting professions have, if the general consensus that they would be useless for almost all applications of our chosen profession is correct you wouldn't be forced to spend exorbitant (sp?) fees on becoming a " 12 point BE " to keep up with the few that do choose to buy/use them.. however they would be a great asset to people that aren't mbe yet and would give their left eye (among other body parts) for another exp point or three..
lordy I hate grinding and could have used a couple more points about a month ago, there is no reason for us to not have/get them as far as I can see... but as with most other things you'll forgive me if I don't hold my breath

Personally I think no profession should get loot that gives an advantage over any other person of the same skills. I know people will/do disagree with this, but either we have a player economy or we have a loot eceonomy, and a lot of problems and inflation are caused by loot. (If loot wasn't so useful, ie only decorative etc, then there wouldn't be a massive looting market, so people would have to get money from harvesting which would mean more resources on the market...good for all as crafters are able to get resources when they need them
