That is a very very vague question, what do you want the macro to do? There are lots of things that can be acrod and there are lots of macros for them, what is it that you want to macro?

programming macros is just that ... programming. You need to have the rudimentary understanding of how a macro works and how programming logic works in order to use and debug them. A rule of programming is that no program no matter how small - will be optimized for you. You will need to more or less tweak it to fit what you want to do and in order to tweak it you need to understand how every line works.

There are lots of good explanations of macro'ing inside SWG which has it's own powerful macro language. Be advised that third party programs used to control SWG are banned and so will you be if you use them. And if you want to load the resources into your tools withoutphysically clicking on them, there is noother way to do it but use a third party macro because you cannot do it using the SWG macro language. But, imho, it isn't worth the risk of getting banned.

But if you want the macros that are posted on these forums to work you have to understand that:

1. the schematic loaded is highly individual to your own configuration and even depends on what other schematics you know, whether you are standing near a public or private crafting station or no station at all and what options for sorting you might or might not have selected. THIS is important as the number of the draft schematic will change often and you will have to make sure it is right every time you start to run your macro. So far I have never found any easy way to get the draft schematic number other than counting how many schematics can be made by the tool you are using and guessing and then refining from there.

2. the toolbar is numbered starting from ZERO. so F1 is /ui action toolbarSlot00 You may need to change these numbers depending on where your tools are.

3. macros are extremely sensitive to change in case, change in spelling. You must type it exactly as the person who posted the macro wrote it. If it doesn't work then, then you will need to 'debug' it.

4. start small. Get one or at most 3 lines ofthe macro in and get it to do what it should. Then add another line. Build on this.

Hope this helps a little. Start with the macros listed in the stickies - they are tried and true and will only require a little bit of debugging on your part.

The number of the schematic is basically trial and error with a bit of counting thrown in, basically open your datapad, click to the schematics tab and there will be lots of icons for all the stuff you can craft.

Starting at the top left and beginning with 0 count along the line left to right (only count the items that are created with the tool you are using, so if you have a row of 5 items and 3 are food tool and 2 are clothing tool and youre using a food tool, then the 3 food ones would be numbered 0 1 2, if you were using a clothing tool the 2 clothing ones would be numbered 0 1) until you come to the item you wish to craft, there's yiour numbe, sometimes it can be one or two out dpending on diferent circumstances, ie if you have gained a skill and not relogged sometimes the numbers wil go out of wack.

Also remember every time you gain a craft skill you may get new schematics and these don't always just tag onto the end of the list, they sometimes get inserted right in the middle of the list, so you need to update your number everytime you train a skill.
