cool, nie to see new BE's experimenting, i generall;y use 5 above average Mouf DnA (kasshykk, kowirr forest) whith no experimentation for a 2.2k health pet with 185 max damage.

Basically, im a new BE
Used to be a CH from around launch up to CU, but thats all uninteressting side-facts for now anyways..be talk time
Well, see ive been out experimenting..And i read some guides and recipes..amongst one a few Lvl 10 guides. So basically i reckoned 2,8k health to be a perfect lvl 10
Well, right now, i sort of kind of made a kusak with 3,3 k healthIm sure this is were you all can insert your "Duh"'sand "noob's"
I stuffed alot of things into the cooker. started with a nice narglatch hunter sample..then a narglatch cub.. then some flesheating chubas, some just chuba and ikopi (on the mental i think) .
Anyways , yeah. that was fun

When a CH uses a pet to attack, dont they (the pets) use their own CL as calculations from combat? Effectively meaning that if you have a lvl 10 per doing 45-185 dmg, against a CL80 its always going to hit for 45?

thanks
I be curious to know if a non-CH was able to use the Kusak. Pre-CU these were aggro skins and a non-CH was not able to use even if the CL was 10 or lower.
We've had reports that non-CH are able to use a CL10 Woolamander (another aggro) and I've even seen a claim that a player had a CL10 Wild Woolamander. LOL, I've searched and searched but have not been able to find a Wild Wooly at CL10 or any that are tamable for that matter.
Lamm, I'd hate to even have you ask if this is working as intended because if this was true it would add to the skins we can make for non-CH (not a great amount I'll grant you as the min CL on most are too high).

Probably, but that is imaterial, if you're going to use such a low level creature as a level 10 all you're using it for is as a damage add or as a way to take extra aggro off of you to run away, you're not looking for it to do any real damage and if you are you're not looking in the right place. Post CU non-ch pets are pretty useless for anything but that, and aren't much more than a novelty.
Actualy Kao when you group with a pet It assumes your level for to hit and such. This increases the damage a bit or at least how much can get thru as its more likely to hit a cl 50 than if it were not grouped with you. If your not grouped with the pet it uses it own CL for all to hit and damage meaing much lower chance to hit,and always min damage, offten not even getting thru armor
.

I disagree a little bit with this statement. I make level 10 pets with about 240 max damage and use them all the time. When in combat, against creatures my level, these hit for about 150 damage, and hit about every second. I was able to use one of these pets quite effectively as a lvl 35 as the sole damage dealer to red conning oponents. I would send my pet to attack and spend all of my enrgey healing myself (which kept the agro), this allowed me to take down things a good bit higher than my level. In fact, in normal combat, I had difficulty out DPSing the pet until I hit lvl 40, and that was with a gorax tangle pistol.
Now I know at level 80 it won't look as effective, but an extra ~150dps isn't something to be completely ignored.

I've been hearing spotty reports of nonCH's using aggro skins... but even if the nonCH = nonaggro rules aren't working now, I wouldn't count on them having actually changed (ever had a customer unhappy with a change to their clone before? /sigh). I've got a long list of things I'm waiting for the devs to comment on... I'll make sure this is included, but it'd be helpful to see some more comprehensive tests.
it still doesn't get us any nonCH mounts...
