Thread: (sort of) Leaving BE

Well...what can I say...I hate the new pet crafting system, and BE no longer looks like a unique profession.
Because of this I have defected to the other side...Chef with 0404 BE. I will not be selling any BE products except maybe InstaStims...and for all intents and purposes I will not be a BE as far as my existing tissue customers are concerned.
I will miss the pet crafting as that was what I grew to love...but the new system is not a patch on the old crafting system and the direct link between CL and dmg/tanking undermines the entire reason for Pet Crafting.
I would like to thank all the Old Skool BE's for their knowledge. I have had a great time browsing these forums in the roughly a year I have been BE. My heart has not been in it recently, and I just haven't had the inclination to read the current BE forums as much as I used to.
In particular I would like to thank Zaddok and PurpleWarrior who are no longer round here...these guys were fellow Chimaerians who helped me get started with BE with knowledge, advice, and in the case of PurpleWarrior a ton of meat he sold me when he left
Also Arthur and NancyJ for being great correspondents (Lamm seems to be doing a great job too...).
I would also like to thank the others who I came across in my regular discourse. Dor, Halthron, Spazzers, PlainWhiteSocks and Joker9125...and some of the newer guys like Eskie who have fit right into the community. I'm 100% sure I have forgotten a load of you...but don't take it personally...

(BTW If anyone on chimaera has a need for almost 200 PreCURB DNA samples mail me, Im sure we can come to an arrangement...I sent an email to Halthron but I don't know if hes still BE...)

I lamented when I first gave up BE(and to be honest I still feel a tinge of melancholy) but I'm actually having fun playing the game again. I feel like a noob all over again.
You make the game what you want it to be. That is what the original box said to do anyway. Have fun doing the things that you enjoy. If you find yourself mired in frustration, as I was, then make a change. Nothing is permanent except death.

I know how you feel about the pet crafting. I still unsure why I keep making pets. It's kinda boring. At any rate, I hope that Chef treats you good, and you don't completely disappear here as I always looked forward to your insights.
