I was using some old DNA (young malkloc plainswalker (1000 hard, 1000 fort, 1000 endurance etc)), and got a hardiness of over 1000 (1047 or something like that, before experimenting, so i didnt experiment on physique (as that would reset it to lower than 900) and see what would happen to my final pet. The pet turned out to be level 76, with a perfect round 8000 health. Reason to me to believe that post pub 17 health is capped at 8000, can anyone confirm this? Also i manged to get 4998 armor on a pet, with 1000 fortitude DNA samples, i think armor is cappped at 5k now (not that it matters as armor check will give no higher thatn 4696 or so armor for elvel 70 pets).

Oh yeah, im running out of pre-cu Godly DNA fast, but with malkloc Bull DNa, you can also hit over 1000 hardiness when assembling if youre lucky. (just select a bull with close to 8k health when sampling, they are around )

Ok this part needs looking into. If player armor is capped at 10K why is pet armor capped at half that?

We aren't capped at 8000 for health, you must of just hit it on the nose. I haven't tried yet for 9k, but I have made a CL69 with a little over 8500 health.

For both the health and the armour, ive made creatures well over what you described in your post. Ive made a 8993 health creature (1149 Hardiness) and a 5076 (846 Fortitude). Of course each of those creatures was level 119 and 76 respectively, but nonetheless i made em

Also based on my data 6148.552795 should be the theoretical max armour a creature could have with perfect 1000 fortitude, which equates to about 49% resistance. Which isn't to shabby really, if you take into account the defense rating of pets. For example... well crap I lost my data calcs, but oh wait I found them

My pet with 4696 armour which is about 41% resistance, in actuality was resisting about 58-59% of damage done to them. Im not quite sure how the defense rating works, but it seems to me it acts like damage mitigation on top of resistance. Just equating it roughly if i were able to pull a 49% resistance with 1000 fortitude and have 170 def rating it seems to me that would be 66-68% damage resistance.
