Thread: Advice required....
I am training to be a Master BE out of chouice and not from a holo, currently i have 0/2/3/1 in skills.
I will soon be hitting 4 in DNA, about 4k away, but just grinding MS to get points seems a waste.
What I am after are the following, what gives best xp to move upwards when crafting now, and what types of items will people pay for even though not top of the line. I am just starting to make my first Pet Stim B's in crates. Is this the right thing to aim for? Because the ones i made only are around 445 in all HAM heal and obviously not as good as a lot I have seen.
Which then leads to second question.....Which order is it best to complete trees in BE crafting. My own thoughts were now that i can craft Pet Stim b, it would be worth going up the experimentation ladder (i think its called that, right hand side of tree), just so that i can get better at what i can make, or go another tree.
Thanks in advance for any helpful tips from you fellow BE's
Experimentation points, of course, allow you to make a higher quality product. So, if you want to sell Tissues, Pet Stims, or Pets, as you move toward Master, you should go up the Experimentation Tree now. I'm sure you could sell lots of Pet Stim Bs if you have Experimentation IV. I would think you would have a lot more fun selling what you make as you move toward Master, rather than just grinding your way up as quickly as you can. And selling what you make is more fun if you are making quality products.
You can't compete with the MBEs making pets for MCHs;but, you could make lower level pets for those CHs who are new to the CH profession. CHs can gain xp quickly byhunting with a low CL pet, killing weak creatures.
It may be a little harder earning credits selling Tissues now, since most Tissues have higher level versions that you can't make yet. When you can make the Tissues that sell best, you will definitely want the max number of experimentation points, though.
As far as what gives the best xp, most BEs make Micronutrient Suppliments. There are other alternatives out there though.
Good luck, and I hope you enjoy yourself as youmake your waytoward MBE rather than just trying to do it as quicly as possible.
Thanks for that advice will be very useful. And yes I was thinking of grinding out some Stim b's as i can sell a few cheaply and also use them as I am also working up towards Master CH.
Is Master CH and Master BE worth while as i can create and train pets then, or shoul dI be concentrating on other things such as artisan/Engineer to get some Materials coming in cheaper? As I have CHG, I therefore have Scout skills and can harvest meats (Takes time though), would I be better suited to taking Ranger even with BE?
Last question I promise (Still fairly new at SWG) do Factories grant any xp when crafting BE items, say Stim b's. As I dont really want to walk around with a multitude of singular stim pack, when i can crate them.
Once again thanks in advance
Ever humble Novice BE
If xp works at all from factory-made items (and I don't think it does yet) it's miniscule, like 1%. Hand-craft the best stim B's you can make and fill up the bazzar with them. Same with Vitality packs. When someone else uses the last charge of a stim you made, if you're online, you should get Use XP. Since Vit Packs are single-shot, when those get used you should get UXP.
Another thing you could do is use the pet stims yourself down to the last charge, put them in a bag, and get a friend to use the last charges of them while you're around/online. That way you get use out of them, a friend does, and you get UXP.
I worked with a tailor early on who made cloth panels out of everything I could possibly throw together in the way of tissues. Made for Made for some killer UXP, but you need to do that with a tailor who is willing to hand-craft cloth panels. Or a Chef who's willing to hand-craft items that end up getting used as pet food or something, using micronutrient supplements.
