Thread: Big Patch goes live tomorrow! (16Dec03) But....
ThunderHeart's announcement tells that the patch goes live tomorrow morning and lists off some of the changes like vehicles but.... he doesn't mention anything about us.... does this mean our changes aren't ready yet?
That would make me very sad.... my last final exam is tomorrow morning and I can think of no better way to spend the first day of my Christmas break than to self-medicate and test out the new cloning system.
Unfortunately, all the data across all creature listings, beastiaries, etc will be out of date! Including www.swgcreatures.com so everyone be sure to keep it bookmarked and go update creatures when you come across them!
I have added in icons to tell if a creature has been updated since the patch. A red X looking like this -> click me will appear next to any creature not updated and a little blue check like this -> click me will appear next to those that have!
So everyone help out and let's get the data current after the patch!
Thanks a ton to all who have helped get the database where it is today, and thanks to all of you who will be helping to enter in the new stats!

DONT WORRY BIO ENG CHANGES GOING LIVE TOMORROW
You just being optomistic or have some insider knowledge?
You just probably fell off TH's radar of important fixes...or he considers BE fixes part of the revamp. I dunno.
I bet you 1 million credits BEs are in the patchnotes.
Anyone? Anyone? Multiple anyones? I could use a few Holocrons...
I have to give an exam in the morning, and my laptop won't play SWG. Ah, well.. 10AM PST os ! in the afternoon here... Plenty of time to get home... especially if the patch runs late (which it often does).
Be prepared for the worst, and an emergency downtime later in the day.. when something silly like all light in the game doesn't work, or all Bothans turn green or something.
The last publish went really well, and hompefully this one goes as smoothly, or better.

I don't think there's ever been a TC publish version in which everything in it was not pushed to Live. It's too much work for the devs to go through and remove parts and basically make an entirely new publish out of it.
And if you're worried about TH's post noting some features of the next publish, note that he's pointing out certain things from the whole, not EVERYthing. There's a good deal of changes and additions he didn't mention briefly besides BE changes
.

Juntao, I really love your site! I think the format in which info is given and looked up is very well done, allot more user friendly than any other site, and fast too.
Since all the creatures are going to change, I was wondering what you were going to do aboutseparating old data from new (besides a date indicator). If you have a way of purging old data, so that it will not confuse, it would be great, instead of having to double check its accuracy. Just a though.

nevermind, I saw what you did on the site to tag the old data.. very good!
