Ok master CH here, here are the questions Ineed answered as a future customer once the new BE code goes live and wild pets get the nerf axe....

I've seen most of what's here, DNA putsresistances, specials,of creature into whatever skin. Looks like that is bieng worked out nicely.

What I want to know is what are the followingitems taken from, skin or DNA?

1) Armor, the most important issue, skin or DNA?

2) Speed, does it come from the skin or the DNA?

3) Ranged attack, does it come from the skin or the DNA?

4) I'm assuming mountability is from skin, is it?

I need the speed of a cat, what other skins besides gurreck is available. Only cats keep up with mounts at gallop and and I'm presuming vehicles.

What is the best kinetic resistance (armor/resist combo) that a cat speed creature can be madetohaveunder level 70?

What is the best kinetic resist/armor cat speed creature level 34 or under (allowing a pair) that can be made?

What specials are possiblefor either of the aboveand is ranged attack possible while still keeping highest possible kinetic resists/armor combo and speed.

Can a mount of CL1 be made?

Forget kimos for me, the last thing most CH want is another huge arse in their face all day and earthquakes.

Small as possible in size, fast as a cat, best kinetic resistance(armor prefferably)with good specials. That's worth a good price.

Once those questions are answered, and I have my new pet, then I'll have a different set of requirements for a PvP or PvNPC pet.

Ohh and what resources that a MCH/scout can collect do you BE's need for making these, or experimenting. I pass up huge quantities of meat, eggs etc. all the time, if they are useful I will collect them for little or no charge. It's really nothing for me to collect 5k stacks of meat for example if it's needed, or use lots to grow stuff if it's needed as well.

Your questions are a bit premature. The patch doesn't go live until later this week or possibly next. There isa thread called Houston we have ignition which outlines a lot of the BE testcenter issues. That's the best place to start.

Like it was said, things are gonna change soon. Right now meat with high PE and OQ and Flora of the same are good bets for making Pets. I appreciate anyone who sells a large stack of meat (get that myself mostly), hide and bone. BTW, what is with the stacks of 20 on the bazaar? Do people really buy those?

Speed and mountability are determined by the skin the rest comes from DNA.We do have several different cat styles to choose from. And in theory a kaadu or carrion spat mount could have a cl of 1. (I made a spitting squall with a cl of 2.)

It sounds like we could fill your requests, though we will need a little time to adjust to the new system. There's still a lot we don't know about how it's going to work. Look at the site below to keep up with the latest info.

As far as resources go, clones require DNA which is something we have to get for ourselves, flora food (like grain or vegetables), and meat. We look for resources that are high in overall quality and potential energy.

Sweet, so a spitting armored cat is a possibility.

As it is, CH's are losing -all- pairs of pets with armor, and those remaining look to be 40% resist or lower, anycreature CL34 or lower with armor or decent resists should be in high demand. Only pets able to be pulled out solo are keeping their stats relatively unchanged.

Anyway I'll start looking for high OQ and PE meat and start stocking up, and maybe get some flora growing. Looks like supplies will be in high demand once patch goes live.

If you want a pet with certain attributes and of a certain CL, tell us what wild creatures of around that CL have the attributes you want. So, if you want a CL 34 pet with armor, poison, and high kinetic resist, tell us what wild creature around CL 34 has armor, poison, and high kinetic resist. I would be more than happy to get all the samples I can carry from such a creature.

We should be able to combineDNA from two wild creatures, one with one of the three attributes you want and the other with the other two attributes you want, to create a pet with all three. I suspect it will be very difficult, if not impossible, to combine DNA from three wild creatures, each with just one of the three attributes you want, and get a pet with all three attributes. We will know a lot more in a week or five.

The CL of the pet will be about the same as the CL of the sampled creatures, depending on the quality of the DNA and the skill of the BE. A Master BE with high quality DNA samples of, say, a CL 50 creature, will be able to create a pet with CL greater than 50. However, I suspect that if either the DNA samples are not high quality or the BE is not Master, the CL will be no higher, and possibly a good bit less, than 50.

So, actually,an MCH should know better than non-CH BEs what types of pets are possible, since he should know much more about wild creatures and their attributes. Again, the types of BE pets possible depends on the types of wild creatures we sample. Of course, with creatures about to change greatly and withBE cloning about to change greatly, I don't expect anyone, CH or BE, knows a whole lot about what we will be able to create at the moment.

My advice to CHs who want a BE pet: decide on the body type of your pet, decide what CL pet you want, and, then, find out what wild creatures around that CL have the attributes (armor, specials, kinetic resist, etc.) that you want in your new pet. If the BE doesn't just happen to have DNA from such creatures, expect it to take some time before you get your pet.

Well from the looks of what I've been reading.....

A gurreck skin, with TMB(cl45, ar1 40% resist I think) orone of the largergaping spidersin physique and prowess and aggression, with something lesser in the other slots to balance it down to cl34??

Anyway a CL34 cat speed ar1 pet with 30-50% kinetic resists, or just straight 75% kinetic resistand ranged attack would be very verysweet.

As would any pet combo with dizzy and kd.

Bahh I can't stand it, I'll be starting up the BE trees today No way I can be patient enough or pay enough for all the experiments I would like to see.

Next question. If resists can be upped by 7 in the cloning process, can you then sample that creature and get a dna reflecting this? If so it would be just a matter of time before a100% kinetic resist pet is made. Talk about a pet worth millions.
