I read that in a post...why would that be? Is that so you can use camo kits to get close to aggros, or is it the harvest plus that rangers get. Or is it just a bunch of rumor bs?

Just a little curious because i was master ranger and gave it up to do master ch and master be...gonna be sad if i need ranger again.

The thinking is that Ranger Wayfaring will allow you to get in close to the big nasty things that are CL70-75 to get samples from them. And Hunt Master would be nice to be able to harvest lots of meat from kills, which of course we can never get enough of.

Probably yo help track the creatures and to see all the stats, such as special attacks, since those will be listed on the DNA samples, thus allowing us to make any creature with any special attack depending on which DNA is used.

Definitely for the tracking. I gave up Hunt Master temporarily to cap out Master Rifleman. Once I made Master Rifleman, I planned to drop it immediately and go back and pick up the Hunt Master tree. The rifle speed and dmg is so insane at Master that I'm having a very hard time dropping it now. An entire lair of Sharnaff, or Bloodfrenzied Boarwolves goes down so fast now it's like cleaning out a butterfly hive.

That said, I feel impotent as a CH now because I'm hunting in the dark and unless I stumble across a creature on my way from mission waypoint to mission waypoint I don't see them.

I thought I would be meat on the table when I dropped Wayfaring for the camo, but it's only a minor inconvenience. I used camo constantly while hunting and it gets detected way too much in my opinion and is utterly useless against NPC's. I hardly miss it with mask scent at 100.

Why not make your own Scent Neutral tissues and get a tailor to put them into clothes for you? I'm sure you could walk away with a +100 to your mask scent skill.

Now whether or not it actually works, I will see later today

I'm a MBE, CH 4,4,4,4 , and lvl 0,0,3,0 artisan for the vendor.

I have found that if I use /maskScent then wait about 20 seconds before approaching an aggro mob thatI can "walk", not run, into any mob.

I do this all the time. It took me a while to finally get it right, alot of /maskScent then run into the mobs and get capped or get a free ticket back to the clone center, but it works like a charm.

As for the Ranger, I have a Master Ranger in my guild and he does make it much easier to find a high level creature for sampling.

Man, I'm so happy with these changes. I have two accounts - one a combo of BE/CH with master medic thrown in, and the other a Ranger/Pistoleer. For me, this is the best combo that I can have. The ranger gives me the tracking and /conceal for nasty places and I love the whole alchemy of BE that's coming up!

Can't wait for the patch today so that I can see what kind of frankenmobs we can make now!!!
