Thread: Can All Creatures be sampled from?

I tried sampling from an enraged rancor this afternoon......failed 15 times.
Can they be sampled? Is there a limit to the CL of a creature that can be sampled?

You cna sample anything. But your skills play a role. If your a novice and try sampling a lvl 70 critter, you will fail repeatdly. If your a Master and you sample the same thing, you will get it alot more often.

You can NOT sample anything. Maklocs, Bull Rancors, Kimogilas and Krayt dragons to name a few cannot be sampled. Anything over CL75 is not sampleable. There is some debate over what the exact cap is. Many people believe nothing over CL70 is actually sampleable.

aaa, gotcha. The enraged are level 75, so maybe you can only sample what you could tame CL-wise?
