OK sorry for the newbie question here but I cant sample DNA from a corpse but the guide says we can. Is there a certain level you have to reach in order to do this? Thanks guys,

I've been a BE for awhile and its never been possible in the time I've been a BE. It used to be possible to harvest creature resources from animals you'd killed by DNA sampling but thats not even possible anymore.

Maybe in beta but not live. I've never been able to sample DNA from a corpse and I've been a BE for a very long time.

We used to be able to harvest meat and hide and bone but that was considered an exploit and promptly "fixed." Funny how fast they remove things that actually help us.

Not sure which guide you reading but we can't sample from a corpse. There was a small window months ago that you could but that was quickly fixed.
