Just out of curiousity after getting slammed down on my "POS" pet,I was hoping my fellow BE's would enlighten me on yourCL 26-32ish pets and give thier stats.

Mine:

Razor cat skin CL29

320-350 D/strong posion and intimidation

10.2k/8.6k/8.4k HAM

46% kenetic ( I said 45 before,but its 46)

the other resist are much higher up to 69%

Now if this is a "POS" pet..I do not know my class AT ALL apparently. Please help me if im doing something wrong,or at least say this pet is not that bad and make me feel a little better about the proff I chose.

Thank you in advance.

No such thing as a good or bad pet, just one which isn't specialized for certain roles an thus isn't too great at everything. You have 3 main types of pets, kinetic tanks for PvE against animals, all around PvP pets with general protection and finally the PvE ones used againast NPCs which need to be protected to the usual damage types such as heat, energy, kinetic and acid. So in the case of your pet there it's a PvP one however it's going to suck as a kinetic tank because of it's painfullylow HAM.

The majority of all Creature Handlers (who are our customers) want Kinetici tanks. Every CH i have talked to wants light armor and 60% Kinetic on their pets regardless of any other stats. My most request and best selling vendor pet is something close to CL35 or CL23 (to work as 1 of a duo or a trio) with light armor, 60% Kinetic, and other stats meaningless. I try to throw different combos of specials on them for vareity but most of the C H's I ave talked to say they could care less about specials as long as it has light armor and 60% Kinetic.

It's not a POS pet. Not at all. A pet like that would probably be ideal for somebody that doesn't have strong combat skills and wants a pet that can "take care of business" for them.

But yea, like the other poster said, generally I'm asked to trade off damage for light armor with the assumption that the pet owner is the one that will do the killing. So my pets around this CL weigh in with 100 pts less damage or so then yours, but can take more of a beating by having that light armor.

What DNA are you using to get AR1 and 60% Kin? I'm using Mantigrue Reaper (light armor & 40% Kin), Arachne Queen (light armor & 50% Kin) & Merek Harvester (Light armor & 75% Kin) and I can't get the armor to stick. The Kin resist are all over 45% on my creatures with around 9k HAM but no armor. What slot do I have to put the DNA w/AR1 to get the armor to stick?

You need to have the light armor DNA in slots 1, 2 and 5 then experiment fortitude up over 500 for light armor to stick

Have to agree with the majority here and say nope, that is not a POS pet, it is just a pet more suited to specific situations. For example, pairing it up with a CL40-41 pure tank pet (light armor, 55%+ kin resist, maybe stun and blind specials) would let it show its true worth. On its own though it is still more than a match for any wild creature of equal CL (intimidation has more effect than far too many people realise).

There is an obvious focus on armor plus kinetic resist but, imo, too many CH get overly hung up on a couple of percentage points here and there while ignoring the defensive values of specials like intimidate, blind and stun (which can significantly reduce damage taken).
