I finally made Master Bio-Engineer last night. w00t! Anyway...I stayed up way too late playing with my new creatures. I made about 5 Kimos, a few rancors and a couple of Fambaas....even a Woolamander just because I had never seen one. Then I had all these creatures in my inventory and I realized I had no clue how to price them. My normal pricing methods generally follows 1.5x the CL for a good creature, 2x CL for an outstanding creature and 1x for an average one. These new creatures though....I have never even seen them on a vendor anywhere so I have nothing to compare them to. They all have HAM at about 9500 across the board, are Lvl 40 and have cripple and dizzy strike. A Master CH friend of mine said the HAM was pretty low for lvl 40 and I should probably consider them at the 1x pricing range. I don't mind, but I really don't have anything to judge that by.

Is he right? Should I sell creatures like this for 40k or am I just going to make every other BE on my server angry?

Your MCH friend doesn't know what he's talking about, maybe he focussed on the HAM however the only reason they might be lower is because the damage and resists are so high. There is no such think as a 'bad pet' just ones that are not decent for certain roles. You sell for whatever you want, don't be worried about what others on the server think since they don't pay your subscription fees so have no right to make you fit their standards... or as I normally say.. F*ck them, do whatever makes you happy and don't let others impose their values onto you. Now if you want to do what they say then carry on, like I said it's whatever makes you happy.

In all honesty I am more concerned with upsetting my fellow BE than I am with offending the CH. I just don't want to throw the whole system out of whack by selling them too cheaply or end up with a hundred kimos on my vendor because I am trying to sell them for too much.

BTW - I just wanted to say that I came to this profession because I was a Master Bounty Hunter who was bored with the combat system and because one of those accursed little blue boxes told me I should, but I have fallen in love with this profession and its infinite depth. There is so much I have learned and so much more I cannot fathom. I plan to stay for quite a while I think and the irony is that without the holocrons I probably would have NEVER done this profession just because I didn't have a clue what it was about.

I wouldn't worry too much about upsetting other BE's. If you're selling too cheap, you won't be able to keep anything in stock and will quickly go nuts due to many, many orders.

I tend to charge 1K/cl for critters with out armor. 2K/cl for critters with armor. 30K for non-ch pets. and 5K for fun pets (crappy HAM, attacks, dammage, a sort of cantina pet). People who want custom (i.e. specific resists, specials, ect) get charged a lot, justbecause these are a pain to make.

I usually don't make Kimogilla with out armor, just because its hard to get a pet up to a real lv 40 without it (at least it is for me) and I feel bad making Critters that have artificially high levels.
