I know that sounds like a retarded question, but I have no BE experience, so please don't laugh. Assuming this is possible, right now you are asking yourself: Who would want such a thing and why?

Well, I want crates of Eopies.

Why? Because I would like to finish CH before 2009. I am currently 3244 and there are only 2 ways to get CH xp at a decent rate. 1. Train pets and release them. This is all well and good as I get around 1k xp per pet, but I have to spend all day looking for babies, and I just don't feel like it(I just finished my 3rd elite melee Profession, stupid holocrons, and I am quite sick of creatures and their lairs). The 2nd way is to run Enraged Rancor missions on Dathomir in a large group. The problem here is retarded group members who: don't understand the concept of "tapping" the lair and get everyone killed/incapped/digested by rancors, get missions in the wrong direction and/or for the wrong creature type, dont use maskscent and draw nightsisters onto the group, and engage in general noobery(How someone can be a master BH and still be a noob is almost incomprehensible, but yesterday I actually witnessed this). So whatcan alazy misanthropic soloist like myself do in this atrocious situation? I'd like to buy a few crates of Eopies(I figure I need around 300 of the things to finish CH), train and release them, thus sparing myself the effort of finding creature babies. I suspect Im not the only hologrinding CH who feels this way. So there is a market for Cheap Eopies made oftrash DNA and the lowest quality materials. Thus, I must know, Can BEs make crates of low level pets?

No, the dna ingredients for a creature are unique and therefore cannot be made in a factory.

And then therefore it'd take ALONG time to gather 1500 DNA samples and craft every single pet by hand, sorry bud.

Jol,

What server are you on? A good way to make CH xp (I found) was to hunt spiders on dath. These are (a little) more easy to digest than Rancors, give good CH xp, and you can trade or sell the meat to BEs for creatures. Both my Master titles stand on a large pile of spider corpses. If you are on Radiant send me a tell and I'll be pleased to go hunting with you. I have some friends who are also experienced spider hunters.

Thx for the prompt and informative responses. I will resign myself to more hunting I suppose.

Is there a market for "grinding pets?" Yes, there is. Finding the BEs that are willing to supply this market is the hard part.

Let's say you're grinding throught the third row of CH, that's 82,500 xp you need. Estimating that with all the tricks you know how to teach a pet, you get approximately 1000 xp per BE pet tamed. So, that's about 83 pets a BE would need to make you so you can get yourself through the skill block. 83 pets equals 415 DNA samples that need to be collected to make you that many pets. Sampling "trash" creatures only (since creature stats aren't important for this process)with your mind buffed properly with muon gold or vasarian brandy, that makes about 2 1/2 to 3 hours of just collecting DNA. Pets cannot be run through a factory, so all these pets have to be hand made. First, 5 DNA samples at a time are combined to make a DNA template. Those DNA templates are again, hand combined, one by one to make a pet. As you can see, this project can take a BE upward to 4-5 hours? Maybe even more? How about if you want grinding pets for that last row?

The big problem BEs will have with a project like this is the amount of time it takes. Most higher level to master BEs won't touch it (I would think) unless you're a REALLY good friend, or (like in my case) a BE that's also working on CH themselves. Heck, I've made myself 20 kimos here and there on occasion just to push my xp a little bit when I feel I haven't been hunting enough, and even I don't like the amount of time it takes to do it!

My suggestion if you really want to pursue this is to find a low level novice. First of all, they need the DNA Sampling xp anyways, so collecting all those DNA samples is beneficial for them. Second, they'll get good BE crafting xp, which helps them advance through the other three BE lines in the skill tree. Third, I would think that you're going to pay them very well. This is a very time consuming and somewhat boring task. I would say AT LEAST 1K or 2K per pet. (I quote a much higher price myself, but this is to intentionally discourage CHs from asking me to do this.) For a beginning BE, this is a win-win situation, unless said BE has a "sugar daddy" alt and doesn't actually need the money, then you're back looking for someone that is willing to do this.

I know someone who tried to do this all by himself.

Didn't work too well CH wise (Well over 400 pets, he used his house for temporary storage, it was...creepy) but on the other hand he did get halfway through BE!
