An Intro: A few weeks ago I decided to go BE. Learned the 4 Medic skills in one afternoon crafting stims in practice mode, and ahve fairly quickly gone to 2-1-4-2 in the BE tree. I am also using this new skill set to help me in my qwest to get back my MCH title.

Some details: I died about 6 times on my first trip to Endor to get better samples/xpwhile getting the DNA skills out of the way. This got me thinking that I could make a few macros to really help me get what I needed and not dies as much. I will include those below, and also tell you that there are a few things you SHOULD have on you at all times...

I just mastered chef in 11 hours 57 mins yesterday....

I am a master crafter... I made my own crafting macro and I just craft for hours non stop.

To get 4404 in BE just craft Micronutrient Supplements the whole time. Boring but it does the job.

zinyx, I can take my crafting macro for example. First I did 105 xp/ 7 seconds up to tissue 3.. This is.

(50000+30000+10000)/105 = ~858 (How man y items needede to get that xp)

858*7 /3600= 1,668 = ~ 1 h 40 mins (the amount of seconds 858 items take to make, split in 3600 to get how many hours)

Ok, att tissue 3 i get broad spectrum nutrients, which give 165. Now I need two whole trees + tissue 4

(10000+30000+50000+80000+10000+30000+50000+80000+80000/165) = 2000

2000*7 / 3600 = 1h 55 min (same as above with the rest of the xp)

So we have 1h 55 min + 1 h 40 min = 3h 35 min. Even if every 7th item would crit fail, it would still only take a bit above 4 h.

This might be pretty wrong, but I know I made the four crafting trees in only a few hours, so it sure is possible.

Humans will dig their own graves as long as they are payed for it.

I posted this to help other chefs grind the profession...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, with no help I figured out how to grind chef under 12 hours. Now some master crafters can see it but most will go.. yeah right.. LIAR!!... well I will do the math FOR you...

Grind the new Ithorian Mist at 252 xp each craft on pratice mode.

This is the fastest way I am sure but you will need some supplies...

45k gemstone (small drinks)

45k Wheat (Alcohol)

180k Wheat (Wastril Bread and Ithorian Mist)

100k Water (Ithorian Mist)

10k Fruit (Wastril Bread)

2-8 factories (I used 4)

Need to make 4 schematics(1,000) of small drink and 4schematics(1,000) of alcohol.

I made all 8 schematics and had 4 factories set up. Put 2 of each in there before I logged. When I came back on I put the other 4 in the factories and grapped some small drinks and alcohol crates.

There is 819200 xp total to craft in chef. At 252 xp a craft you have to do 3251 crafts total. 819200 / 242 = 3250.79

I have a custom macro where it takes 8 seconds a craft. 3251 x 8 = 26008secs / 60 = 433.46mins / 60 = 7.22hours

So that is 7.22 hours of crafting to get to chef. But you have to craftWastril Breal till you get to Mixology II so that takes little more time and you have to find chef trainers and keep making runs to the factories to get more crates because you can't carry all the crates on you.

I will double check this information on this later. There is always something a person forgets or types wrong.

But use that resource list and grind Wastril Bread and Ithorian Mist to get Master Chef. I find this the fastest way. Some do not like using parts so they can do Synthsteak and I was told it gives 180 xp a craft and takes 20 vegetables 20 cereal and 5 hide. I don't like the hide because I do not have any fighting professions and I have 56 ER13 harvestors to get any resources I need for grinding

To get sampling 4 really quick (4 days with 2-3 hours playing a day, I was a 2-0-4-0)all you have to do is going to Naboo and sample all the trash out there (get some moun gold) and just sample the hell out of everything you see. Do an autofollow so if the pet moves, you move. Once you get to sampling 2 head out to Lok and get gurk missions (8kish), they give off 350ish dna sampling xp per sample with the gurk whelps give a little over 300 (I also heard that pickets on dant give off good xp as well). You make some nice money once you finish off the lair plus you get a bunch of samples to help you get through the rest of your crafting. The one key that is important...IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT MOUN GOLD IS FIND OUT or if you know a chef there is valerian brandy or fisnack (spelling is bad) that will give your mind a boost so you don't run out while you're sampling.

I agree with the naboo bit to start off. I myself, once i went up a couple of boxes, went to Dant and picked up a bunch of voritor dasher missions. They pay well, only 2 spawn at a time, each one gives about 330 xp. They usually survived for about 3-4 samplings each, then died or got mad, at which point it was fairly easy to run away and then go back when they gave up chase. You can also keep the samples for use in some nice L10 pets that you should be able to make before being a Master.

I don't think Endor's a good idea till the last box at least... the stuff does give out nice loads of XP, but you fail so often unless you're a master that I don't think it's worth the time & risk. Someone I met on Endor was trying to sample a BMB queen (coz they DO give out 700xp) - he just kept on failing and making her mad.

If you can, I suggest getting some clothes with good Mask Scent bonuses. Get explore 4 and these clothes and you'll make your life a lot easier with dashers and things. And walk... a little patience saved me trips to the clone center!

I also got my sampling 1 & 2 using yard trash around the starport in Keren, naboo. For 3 & 4, I went to endor and sampled Swirl Prongs and Bolle Bols, I would get 200-400 per sample and they did not deathblow.

Where are the macros?
All I see is bragging about how quickly or slowly people have gotten the various boxes.

As for me I got sampling 4 much quicker than all the others but I was a MCH/MS before I started on BE (this time) so running around Angry planets sampling everything was easier (and got more xps for me as well as nice DNA).

Actually, in case you haven't heard, you need to find Vasarian Brandy with BE enhancements from your local chef. The stacks I got add 426 to every mind stat (Muon adds 500) and I could eat 2 at a time (852 to all mind stats total) that lasts for 36 minutes, much longer than Muon, with no downer. I still keep Muon in the emergenct bar, since it stacks with food, but I couldn't get my mind bar down with that much food buff.....

I used to keep my nose to the grindstone in hopes of succeeding through hard work and persistance. Unfortunately I have been grinding so long, the stone has burned through most of my face and into the back of my skull.

HUM... The whole message I typed out got posted seperately somehow. This was just teh VERY little at the start of it. I have no idea why, but you can read it ALL here:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=bio-engineer&message.id=57526

There is a lot of info in there, so please read and comment. But I can tell you that I got all my sampling XP by starting with simple things like eopies and rontos on Tatooine, then quickly switching to swirl prongs on Endor near the Smugglers Outpost. To finish off, Pikets on Dantooine near the Imperial Base are great - especially for all the milk you can gather first. (sometimes over 100 units per animal!)

I look forward to seeing what you all think of the other message.
