Thread: Sooooooo......what now?
I still have a few months with this account, so I am going to try out the new system. I think I'll do combat stuff (seems like that's the only thing TO do...). Is it worth my time grinding away at my carbine/combat xp? Or should I be grabbing as many low-level skills as possible just to have a few more points to play with when I respec?
Thanks for the input!

If you convert to a combat char, you are respecced based on CL. unless u are a cl80 Jedi/BE...then u prob aren't over CL60, and will not get above cl60.
If you convert to a crafter/entertainer then u will get to go on SPs used however...
Basically all the crafters and entertainers have a choice of 2 professions...and everyone else gets a full compliment of choices.
As for preperation...BE tissues for Chef are not made by Chefs, but are still used. Either they will be removed from game, will turn into looted components, or will become makable by Chefs. It may be worthwhile cooking up as many as u can, nad hoping they aren't deleted like powerups...because they will prob be worth a large sum if they do survive.

tbh...u are a bit unlucky, like all us BEs.

for this reason I dropped all my be/tailor skills and mastered pistols/rifles this past week to get cl80
Thanks for the quick feedback!
I am a CL21 Carbineer as well, but that was mostly as a way to 'protect' myself while sampling DNA (some beasties took it VERY personally!). As far as my BE skills, I was level 4 DNA sampler and level 2 creature cloner...no chef skills (wasn't interested in food; wanted BEASTIES). Will my stockpiles of DNA samples convert into other goodies or disappear? Or do we really not know yet?
Will the total number of used Skill Points transfer? (I have been looking for the answers..but I have limited time to research AND play...guess which one wins out). I remember that during the previous respecs we were given you could reassign your SPs anywhere...
Thanks again!

hybrid classes are possible, in a sense - utilizing your 2nd character slot as a sort of physical replica of your current character, with a variant of your current name.
i knew a few previous players who were doing this with paid alts, and of course further grind is involved - but i find the idea fascinating.
(providing you can stand the new game mechanics)
