Thread: My 1st CL70 with recipe
Mutant Rancor - physique
Mutant Rancor - prowess
Singing Mountain Clan Rancor - mental
Singing Mountain Clan Rancor - psych
Singing Mountain Clan Rancor - aggressiveness
Combined in a 14.81 crafting tool but was impatient and used my droid's crafting station while out in the field
Used all the experiment points in 3 rounds of "run experiment" clicks. Full physique and mental in experiment 1, full aggression and phych in round 2, and prowess in round 3. By full I mean I filled the bars and hit run experiment, if it didn't max with that one button push I left it there and moved to the next round.
Ended up with a very nice CL 70
HAM 12k/12k/13k
AR light
40% kinetic
60% energy
100% heat/cold/electric
19% to everything else expect lightsabre
speed: 2.02
to-hit: 0.53
damage: 470-480
Special 1: --
special 2: Intimidation
ranged: no
Just about perfect for what I wanted really. Wouldn't mind a bit more kinetic resist and another special, but can't really complain. I put it in a Razor cat skin to add to my MCHs datapad full of cats. Any suggestions for getting that other special (but not losing the intim)?
Now to see about some more Mutant Rancor DNA. Who ever suggested using /prone with full maskscent to sneak up on them is a saint

I did this once...
MR (VHQ)
MR (VHQ)
MCC (VHQ)
MCC (VHQ)
MR (AA)
It was pretty cool, got blind and intimidate to stick.
Unfortunately my plan was to resample and do
MH
MH
SM1
SM1
SM1
but went *POOF* on first sample... and since igot back from my happy place I haven't gotten a chance to try it again.
Yea, that combine is asking for trouble if you ask me. On average you'll probably only get 1-2 samples from that first combine, and even if you lucked out and got 2, unless one of them is a VHQ sample there's a real good chance you'll lose the specials in the 2nd gen, thus kinda defeating the whole point of it. I'm guessing you can achieve the same thing by mixing MH with MCC in the 1st gen, then adding the MR in the 2nd combine, thus saving you a lot of heartache.

Pet1= MH MH MCC MCC MCC
Pet2= MH MH SP1 SP1 MR(AA)
Is That what you are suggesting?
I wasn't really suggesting any particular combine, just pointing out that you can probably achieve the same thing (AR 1, 60% kinetic, so-so HAM, real high dps, crappy other resists, blind/intimdate specials) without having to re-sample the MR-derived stuff up-front.
What you said might be good, or maybe something like:
MH-MH-MH-MDH-(VHQ)MCC
then maybe something like, I dunno,
MH-1st-MR-MR-(VHQ)1st
or similar. I'm actually going MR dna hunting later this week to fill a more boring, time-tested CL 70 formula, hopefully I'll get enough dna to try some new stuff
I'll let ya know.
