So I had heard from a few BE's on my server, that the DNA sampling grind was terrible, one of the worst grinds in the game. A few weeks before I started, I required the necessary organics to ensure the crafting would go flawlessly. I started with Sampling, since it was gonna be the "hardest". My first block I did what the forums suggested, and sampled "trash" and then would craft dna templates. I did Dna Sampling 1 and 2 on day one, took about 3 hours total for those. The next day I did 3, and the following I did 4. I must say:
IT WAS NOT BAD at all.
I actually had a lot of fun with it.
For sampling 3, I started at my BE trainer in Nashal, Talus, and walked to Dearic, sampling everything I saw. There are many good samples on talus, from the 100xp - 300 xp, and I never once sampled anything aggresive, and I also never saw another player. A few hours later, when I hit dearic, I had easily gotten my experience i needed.
The next day i hit dantooine, but found that I was getting way more eperience at a quicker rate on Talus, back to talus for the Dearic to Nashal walk, and when i reached it I was done, with tissues 1 too boot!
The only macro i used:
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/follow;
This is pretty much a tab with a follow appended.
I also find the BE creature crafting the most fun and rewarding, although somewhat cryptic. I look forward to learning and truely mastering this unique profession.

I didn't find the DNA Sampling very difficult either. Best thing to do is sample from things that wont DB you and if they go agro on you just let em Incap you. This works especially well on the many varieties of Bol's on Dantooine. 300-600xp per Bol and they dont DB and are non aggro. Good times!

Welcome to the ranks! I found DNA sampling 1 & 2 difficult, but 3 and 4 were enjoyable.
Trash until two, pikets until 4.

I too enjoyed most of the sampling tree. I got sampling one just wandering around tatooine sampling whatever i could find and making pets just to see what could be done. After that I went to Yavin IV and there were plenty of creatues that gave huge points and the DNA was great to me at the time making it more exciting. Just after getting sampling II I met a CH who ordered 300 junk pets to grind CH with (though the order got chopped to 150 for my sanity) and even though sampling trash outside mos entha was BORING I had the thought of 300k credits when I was done to make it interesting. Once i finished that I was done sampling III and half way to sampling IV with my 300kI bought some maskscent clothes some brandy and went on safari to dath and dantooine collecting whatever looked interesting till I hit IV. all in all an enjoyable and profitable "grind"

Sampling was the grind that i have enjoyed most in the whole game so far!
I just did red dots, that made it all a bit more challenging, the craft grind is expensive and boring though.

I did Seething Bol Crushers through the 4th box, about twice the exp of pickets and at the limit you can sample at that level.
But also, i found DNA sampling easy overall, its the crafting thats difficult cos its just so boring
at least with DNA sampling your out and doing something, i did the DNA sampling in a couple of days, the crafting took me the rest of a month due to non-motivation in it being so boring

found sampling easy but could be from being master tk at the time, did all my sampling on endor. Ok had one or two unrulely archin but that was because they are social. Could take them 1 on 1 not 5 on 1. but was getting near 400 on avg from creatures. Having a maxed mask scent and bio clothing helps. Grinding the crafting xp now that is the night mare, or atleast for me it was

Believe it or not, I did DNA sampling quite quickly on Naboo. Fambaas for 398 exp and Bolle Bols for 310 exp. Oh and I got lots of milk out of them too.
BTW I just mastered BE on my new character on Chilastra. Hooray!

Congratulations on the MASTER!
I've already spent hours combining DNA, trying to get lower level special orders. Fun Stuff, you're gonna love it.

yeah mastering BE now isnt really a problem, just need a sizable stack of meat/flora, and about 4+ hours on dant....
I mastered it more than a year ago... tried to figure out how to use a macro, but I couldnt get it to work... so I mastered by hand. Crafting everything I could to get exp. it was a little easier once I got to 3040 cause then I would just make pets for exp and I didnt have to sit around "grind" (making my carple tunnel only slightly worse, lol)
BE's now have it so easy! *Shakes Fist Like an Old Man in His Rocking Chair*
But its still an accomplishment nontheless, enjoy the prof, and grats on mastering
