I have never heard of anyone reaching the almightly 90

The best I have done is the 88, myself. I wouldn't try for any higher. But that is my opinon.

Most chefs that I have dealt with are happy with 86 to 88 in the BSNs

So I suppose the +85s I have are fairly worthless ... nobody is buying them, that's for certain.

You cannot get +90 without perfect 1000's as you said, unless...

It is possible that on a very lucky assembly the maximum will be boosted enough to let you reach +90. That happens infrequently, and I doubt anyone could actually say if it is possible to break +89. (Theoretically yes, but since no one has done it we cannot say.)

I think I read somewhere that for every +1 on nutrients, it adds about 3 points to the potency of the food. So if 89s make brandy that has 450 potency then 85s will make 438 which really is totally insignificant. People will always want the best though, even if its just for looks or being able to say "mine is better than yours".

As a fellow BE on Kettemoor Im curious what igredients you used to get +89's? The only combo I was able to get that high with was theEndor Carnivore meat (Niwiwo)and Endor Greens (Kesiv)and Corellian Wood (Procte). Since then I've been having trouble getting to +88's again, I think its cause Im out of Wood with an OQ of 999, highest I have is 991 right now....
