Thread: pets in pvp?
I do not know about PvP, I don't do it, ever. Let me tell you what I think I know.
THere is no reduced damage, but if you are attacking a person with armor and 85 percent kinetic, your pet is going to damage about as fast as they regenerate. If though, your pet has usable sp's, you can bypass the protection for the most part. Dizzy is one. Cripple is a posture down. Strong Poison is slow. Strong Disease if you are hateful and want to cause much wound damage.
Pets can't be perma killed, but you will have deterioration damage. For that you need to get the repair paks. Stronger the better for repairing damage.
Pet Vitality Paks are made by BE's. I sell the 63 power Pet Stim B's ones that do a good job, but if you have a particularly valuable pet, you wanna get a really strong Pet Vit C. I sell them at 20 per power, which for a 63 would be 1260 credits. Others seem to charge more. Vit C's cost a lot more and take more components to make.
By using a Strong Pak quickly, that minimizes the deterioration. Not often can you get below 90 and get a full repair. At 90, it might repair to 99 or 98, depending on the strength of the Pak.
pets in pvp go something like this
pets are ignored and CH is ganked, pets are then dealt with....
think about it, a TKM or a rifleman(2of the most popular pvp)can easily take out a whole lair of ancient bull rancors then your pet probably wont stand much of a chance

And the whole "if your actions warrant a duel" portion is a little too vague, that and it makes it sound you require PvP, which some of us do not, even with combat classes, want to participate in.
You have a good thing going, but for me, the rules are
Buggy boards...
If you use a vitality pack too weak for the amount of vitality loss your pet has taken, it will knock off more than one point of the max vitality. I make it a point to do all my pets at 92/100, 91/99, etc., because I know it will only knock off one point at that level.
