Since I got survival IV in the village I have had some what of a renewed interest in the BE profession now that I can see the creature lvl that I am probing. I'm just curious are you all having renewed faith in the BE profession with the up coming upgrades in the CURB or is this a make or break moment for you where if 1 thing doesn't work you quit?

The CURB has been make or break for me for the past 6 months. Knowing that this game would have a new lease of life has kept my interest. This partly the reason why I took such a vested interest in joining the alpha testing team - if you want a job done properly you gotta do it yourself. If it turns that I don't like it then I'll be hitting that cancel button and you will see the back of me. I'd like to see what happens when the CH prof gets their revamp but I think that is too far away.

So the question at the end of April won't be anything having to do specifically with the CU, rather "How close are you to canceling?"

Same for me, JTL has kept me going since last fall (that and being on the CURB alpha, which has just turned into 75 bucks wasted lol...i had actually cancelled my account the day before NancyJ invited me, and reactivated it just to be part of Team IGABIG hehe)

If the CURB doesnt revolutionize ground combat - and make it so that non-master-elite-combat-prof hybrid templates can enjoy content - I may be getting the station access pass and convert over to EQII...or go to WoW cold turkey

To be quite honest, whatever happens to BE from the CURB I really don't care. Its fun to speculate and all tho, hehe. One of the things I love most about SWG is the ease at which you can convert your character's professions (FS and jedi aside). If I don't like BE after the CURB, it would take less than a week to master another profession that looks more interesting to me.

yes its seems sad that we BEs got the short end of the stick with people only picking up this profession as a side if they have an alt for chefs to make the necessary tissues or just paying us off hand to make the schematic. I'm into the bad habbit of people just paying me 20k on the spot to make them a schematic and let them use their own resources to make the tissues hopefully the CURB like I said will revitalize us and we will become useful. If we are pretty lucky we will become the stim manufacturers instead of doctors so we can rake in some creds.

It's a funny thing, but I got into this game because of a firend of mine. I'm not in it for the game itself. As long as I'm not completely board playing the game I'll be happy just to hang out with friends. From that perspective the only way the CU will impact me overmuch is if my friends leave the game because of it. This gives me a slightly skewed view in the CURB testing. I'm really not looking at things for myself, but rather my friends, and the BE community here.
