I'm trying to locate the right number of my draft schematic for my crafting macro.
The faq says #158 - we all know its dependent on the person.
Counting in your datapad doesn't work either...You can sort in a list or by picture and within the list you can do name/type/icon.
I used #13 - got a stimpack A
I used #14- got a generic DNA temp
I used #15-got a bearded jax
None of those numbers correlate to any ordering in my datapad.
Plz, can someone help me find the constrictor tissues?

A trick that helped me, back in the day, when I was working up macros for my Tailor grind was to:
1) Open the crafting tool normally,
2) Type "/selectDraftSchematic 123" at the command line,
This will do just the same thing it does in the macro, and select a specific schematic.
3) If this isn't the right schematic, hit the "Back" button on the tool, press Ctrl+UpArrow and bring up your last command, change the number. Try again.
It's tedious, but it's better than changing your macro repeatedly. Also keep in mind that the numbers change, depending on whether you're near a station.

Holy crap man...you're prolly the smartest guy replying out of the pages I've searched. That worked like a charm. There is no method to the madness and you just have to try that command line until you get it.
Thanks.

It is a pain now it can change quiet often as you learn new schems. The way I was told to help is to start up the tool then type /sel 01 and enter. This will select the first schem and if you don't get the right one escape back and type the it again. Go up in increments of 5 say until you get close to the correct item and then +-1 until you get the right schem.

one way of doing it, is to craft an item once by hand, then have your macro skip the part of selecting the schematic using /nextcraftingstage. Since you're auto set to recraft the first item it will always craft the same item.
I hope this makes sense..lol

The way i did it was trial and error. Open a crafting session and then in your normal spatial /sel 10 and go up by 10's until i knew i was close to whatever i was trying to craft.
If you look through the older artisan threads probaly page 2-5 you will see there is a new method where you pick the schematic the first time manually and then a command for hitting the same default one over and over.

/sel ## works just as well, and you don't have to type as much.
Also note that schematic numbering starts at 00

Also when counting, look at what crafting tool is needed for that item. For example if you are crafting clothing and the 4th item is furniture, dont count that as one of the items, because the furniture doesnt use the same crafting tool that your using for the macro.
