Thread: tips on sampling mutant rancors??

Can any of you veteran BEs give me any tips on improving my success with sampling mutant rancors? I spent 90 minutes yesterday "attempting" to sample, and left with only 3 samples. Tonight, another 90 minutes and zero samples. The primary problem is approaching them without being detected. IF I can get close enough I find that I am successfull sampling only about 10 percent of the time. Any tips? Should I crawl, or kneel or something like that? Is it better to approach from behind?

Let me just add, that I am a master BE, I have +25 mask scent on my clothing and I am using aroma screen. I also walk to approach (as opposed to just running up to them).

Do you all have the same problem I am having? If you do, I can accept it but sheesh, I'm thinking there has got to be a better way. Secret illegal ninja moves from the government perhaps?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Azy Ivy

Do you also have the Exploration IV branch of Scout? How about some Jawa Beer? With all that, clothing, and Aroma Screen I do okay on going undetected. I posted some tricks for sampling mutant rancors that may also work. Hope this helps.

I would ace more squadrons if they'd just fix the remaster bug.

14 samples in 2 hours sounds pretty good to me f ro this type of DNA.
