Ok...no one quite knows whats going to happen to existing pets after the CURB...but what about pets created after the CURB?...how useful are they going to be?
I don't know if anyone here has checked out the CURB on TC, but for those who haven't, it is a necessity to group after u get the first box of any combat.
If I can't take on a Non-CH level critter by myself, then a Non-CH pet could help me do it.
I know people say the cl10 10-11k HAM pets will be nerfed, and they will be, but lets look at this way...if BE pets are better than wild pets, and wild pets eat n00bs for breakfast, then surely a Non-CH pet will help n00bs level rather effectively against critters of a similar level?
The other interesting point to make is that when grouping, people seem to get all the xp available for the creature with 1 hit, no matter who does the most dmg. Therefore logically, if you group with a pet, and they kill it, so long as u get at least 1 hit, you get all the xp. (JTL already does this when grouping with other pilots for kills)

I saw that with the xp. I don't know if they're doing that on purpose as part of the CURB or if it was done as part of the testing. I know they want people to level as fast as they can in the beginning.
Also, if you haven't seen it, the mobs are not balanced yet except around Bestine and Eisley.

Definitely... since anyone can you stimpacks and anyone can use pet stimpacks... I can't see how a non-ch pet would not be useful. Especially since you just need one hit to get the xp:
Macro noobage:
/target Nuna
/tellpet kill
/attack
/pause 3
/peace
/target pet
/macro healpet
Macro healpet <--- assuming regular stims can still heal pets
/healdamage
/pause 20
/pethealdamage <--- don't know what command is for healing with pet stimpack is
/pause 20
/macro healpet
