Thread: Sorry... I know this has probably been asked. Re: Eggs

Sorry for posting a question without searching really hard first, but I'm running a bit short on time, and curiosity is killing me. I recently sold my first batch of eggs on the bazaar as a test, and would like to establish a longstanding relationship withe a BE or two to supply eggs regularly, but it seems that hardly anyone I speak with has an opinion as to what eggs should go for.

What's a fair price per unit? Does quality affect said price? How many do you need ata time? Do they need to be in identical batches?

Again -- sorry for asking a question that I know has been asked a million times before, but sometimes these boards aren't really conducive to finding quick answers

I was trying to figure this out yesterday. I settled on 40 credits per egg...but that is probably a bit high. The only reason I gave so much was because this guy had over 500 of the same exact egg, allowing me to do a full crate run, which netted me a significant amount of money. I would normally expect maybe half of that. 20 credits per egg may be a reasonable amount.

I had thought that 25 cpu for eggs was about standard. That's why don't ever buy it, 'cause I'm a cheapskate. A crate of Enhanced Myoflex tissue (the big one that needs eggs) would require 390 eggs minimum (15 per, with one for the schematic), and the stats of most importance are Potential Energy and Overall Quality. Any quantity less than 15 units is pretty much a waste. If you want to Bazzar the items, stacks of 200 would be divisible by 15 and hit the 3,000 credit cap.

For the love of the Force! 20cpu? 25cpu? I sold the auction for between 10 and 15 cpu (can't remember offhand) and I was concerned about gouging!

Let it be known, though, for the record, that I usually only have about 20-30 eggs at any given time.

Well the only tissue eggs are used in really now are the dancer/musician wound healing tissues. And those tissues are not in demand. I made a test crate of 15, with +14 stats and it has sat on my vendor through 2 auction cycles now unpurchased. My vendor sees around 100-200k credits business a day, so its not as if nobody knows about it. My business partner (a tailor) who moves a similar amount of credits of merchandise daily says he has yet to have any request for this kind of tissue, and he is uninterested in it. You can use eggs in chef tissues, but no chef wants to buy BE tissues at the prices it takes to make them, so that is rather pointless, and furthermore most of those tissues have rare-as-dinosaur-teeth milk in them.
