Thread: High Courage DNA may exist

Sorry, I can't say I know high Courage DNA exists, but I have an idea I don't believe anyone has suggested yet. Let's say you know that a particular creature, like the Ancient Reptilian Flyer, has a good chance to have the Aggression ability. Maybe, after sampling 20 or 30 of them, you would come across one that has the ability, and you would get DNA with much higher Courage than usual from that one. So, you would take one sample from each ARF you came across, and, if it wasn't high courage DNA, move on to the next.

I have a Humbaba with the Vigorous Health ability, so it's Health should be significantly higher than the Health of common Humbabas (I need to check this). Next time I am around Humbabas, I'm going to check their Health with my cursor and see if any have significantly higher Health than is typical. If they do, then I can sample them and see if their Hardiness is significantly higher than the others' (which I would expect). If it works for Vigorous Health, it may work for other abilities too. The advantage of testing this theory using Health is that you can easily check it by placing your cursor over the Health Bar. The disadvantage is that Hardiness seems to vary much more than other DNA attributes. Even if a creature doesn't have Vigorous Health, it may still have exceptionally high Health and Hardiness. When I was sampling CL 44 mission Giant Sand Beetles, for example, their Health varied from around 4500 to 5300.

Perhaps someone can try sampling lots of Murras to test this. The CH forum thread on Specials notes that Murras often have the Aggression ability. Sample lots of Murras (you just need one sample from each) and see if you come across any with exceptionally high Courage.

If this theory works out, then our concerns that wild pets with abilities are more valuable than BE pets may be lessened since we could sample creatures with the ability, make a pet from it, and, indirectly have the ability built in. Thiswould only apply to innate abilities, I would think, most of which do not seem to be working. Aggression, Vigorous Health, and Marring Storm (Damage) seem to be the only abilities associated with DNA that are working now. Six don't work, and there seems to be no ability associated with State Resistance (Intelligence).

Oh if only it did! I fear that they took away our higher courage courage DNA on purpose tho Lantyssa said thatold school BE's have been checking the ham bars of creatures forever to get the ones with the stats they wanted ... we can too (like ya said). I will add furthermore that higher heath = higher hardiness BUT also lower power ... and vice versa ... look for lower health= bit lower hardiness and bit higher power compared to it's mates.

And now ... a plug for ... www.swgcreatures.com !!!! Did you know that they (oh dear who is in charge of swgcreatures I'm so bad at names) have cleared out the pre-currnet crafting DNA data for us???!!!!!

So get adding your samples to the site and make it a viable BE tool again !!!

To recieve such random levels of pets, you may need multiple samples, many, in order to configure it properly. Currage is something that would probubly be easier to generation into a DNA template than to hope on the off-chance of recieving it from the wild now... If generation is possible now.

Yes, let's all start entering our DNA. We need a separate thread with the appropriate title to start encouraging every to go to swgcreatures.com and get it back up to date. (Hehe, spell checker wanted to know if I meant secretaries instead of swgcreatures).
